They were actually running a sale so I bought two filters.

Mutt Island Dog Daycare, Grooming, Extended Stay & Training
320 Monroe Ave, MemphisLovely place! While traveling through Memphis, we wanted to do some activities without our dog, but our original plan fell through. Mutt Island was able to take our dog with little notice (but do bring vaccine records). The employee was kind, helpful, and personable. When we came to pick our dog up, he remembered who was ours without needing so much of a reminder. It was great to let our dog play at dog daycare while we did a tour and Graceland instead of getting stuck at the hotel. Definitely would recommend!

Barks and Recreation
965 Reddoch Cove, MemphisI have never written an online review for a business- but I had to change that in order to give Barks and Recreation 5 stars. I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog Bear with them. They are lovely, accommodating people. We have boarded, groomed and done daycare with them several times and it has been a completely wonderful experience each time. They go above and beyond, listen to any concerns or questions you have about your dog, and have met every single request I’ve made of them- whether it is specialty food, applying eye drops, etc. I have never once felt dismissed or ignored or that the people there are fed up with animals- and that’s unusual amongst boarding facilities in my experience. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have peace of mind that the people caring for your animal love your dog as much as you do.To give an example- once my dog was not feeling up to eating and someone sat with him and hand fed him his food. That’s the kind of people at this establishment. They take initiative to care for your animal. Absolutely wonderful staff and we will continue to go to Barks for all our boarding, daycare and grooming in the future.

Pet Care
Germantown Parkway Animal Hospital
886 Cordova Station Ave, CordovaThe staff and Dr. Zinkus are simply the best. Our 8 year old pooch had a bad case of sudden hives/redness, that led to frequent vomiting and urination. She was all itchy and did not sleep a wink for 24 hours. We were so worried as she is very healthy girl with no recent sickness or preconditions. I decided to take Paddy here as we just moved to this area.Dr. Zinkus and her assistant Lottie were amazing. Extremely thoughtful and thorough in their examination and procedure. Turns out Paddy had an Anaphylactic reaction to an insect bite. Dr. Zinkus took her time to explain the reactions, symptoms and provide medication for immediate relief. My dog is extremely shy especially at the vet but the love and care she received here in this clinic was the best!I strongly recommend Dr. Zinkus and her team for pet care in the Cordova area.

Try them - they are well worth those extra few pennies.

Memphis Animal Clinic
733 E Pkwy S, MemphisThe staff at Memphis Animal Clinic are so pleasant and welcoming. They have been so helpful and supportive. Most of all though, I love that Dr. Clayton got down on the floor to greet my dog the first time she met him. It put him immediately at ease. He loved her. Then, when I brought my rescue in for her first experience, Dr. Clayton talked to her while she was doing all the stuff that typically makes a dog yelp or shiver. My baby did neither. She too was at ease. When you have fur babies that mean the world to you, it only stands to reason that you want the best for them. I have found that with Dr. Clayton at Memphis Animal Clinic.

3517 Johnwood Dr, MemphisWe were the 3rd owners of this young overly hyper doberman. This is our 10th doberman, but never had one like this and we refused to give up on her. After 2 weeks, she is home and behaves very differently. She comes when called, doesn't go crazy in the house, and very calm around me (still recovering from surgery). Denise and John were very pleasant to work with and very supportive. Very, very pleased!

Taming the Wild
2164 Hillshire Cir, MemphisMy family and I could not be happier with the training that Taming the Wild provided for our girls - and for us! This was our third attempt at getting training that worked for our two female rescues. Before coming to Taming the Wild, we tried in-home training with certified trainers and also sending our dogs to a week long behavioral training program. Neither of those things stuck with our dogs or worked very well for us to incorporate into our daily lives. Bryan, Ashley and the Team at Taming the Wild changed that for us and we are forever grateful! We rescued our girls two years apart from each other when they were both very young puppies. They are now 8 and 6 years old. They're both precious angels in our lives and always have been...however...they had some bad behaviors that we just couldn't seem to get under control. We felt trapped in our own home. We worried about anyone ringing the doorbell, any activity that was out of the ordinary and anyone coming to our home to provide a service (yard, pest, repairs, etc). When you have two - they sometimes feed off of each other. So, when one gets worked up, the other gets worked up and they become hard to control. Top that with one of our girls being EXTREMELY ANXIOUS ALL THE TIME, and it magnifies the circumstances tremendously. As much as our girls get along, love each other and play with each other, when these tense moments of anxiousness and bad behavior arose, it would sometimes lead to the two of them getting into fights with each other. Ugly ones that were hard to stop. Stitches, drains, weeks of medications, cones of shame and keeping them away from each other while they healed :(. It was so sad and so hard for ALL OF US.A close friend of ours had sent one of her dogs to Taming the Wild and said it was not only successful for them, but a totally different approach to training than we had tried in the past. So we gave it a try and we're so glad we did! Both of our girls did the 21-day Board & Train Enhanced Training program based on our needs. We missed them LIKE CRAZY while they were gone!!! However, Ashley was WONDERFUL about sending us updates, pictures and videos each week! She always let us know what they were working on, what they had mastered and how they were doing. When she would send videos, you could hear Ashley and the team talking to our girls and you could just feel the love they had for them! Such a small thing to notice, but such a big feeling of comfort to us that not only were they being taken care of, but treated kindly and LOVED!!!Of special note - as was mentioned earlier, we have one sweet girl with overwhelming anxiety. During the girls training, Bryan evaluated her and shortly after, we met with him to discuss how to help make her life less stressful and happier. He recommended that we try an anti-anxiety medication in addition to the training. We've tried meds for her in the past, but nothing seemed to work or help calm her down. After approval from our vet, we started this new regimen and it has made A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE in all our our lives!!!Since completing the board & train program, our girls understand what is expected of them and you can visibly see how proud they are when they complete a command we've asked of them. It's a WIN for us and a WIN for them - and that makes for a much happier life together!Thank you Bryan, Ashley & the Team at Taming the Wild!!!

Paw Paw's Pets
3124 Broad Ave, MemphisTaking our sweet, but chaotic rescue pup, Hope, to Paw Paws for training was the best investment we could have made for our family. We’re thrilled with the obedience training, but what really sets Paw Paws apart is how much happier Hope is. She’s calmer, more confident, and still the sweet love bug we know and adore. Hope so loved her time with Rebecca, Jordan, and the pack that, once our training time was over, we made the decision to further invest in a Daycare Package. Now, our Chaos Pup looks forward to her days at Paw Paws and comes home exhausted, calm, and happy. We never worry about her safety or wellbeing because the level of care is just excellent. Our experience has been an all-around joy and we’re so pleased with the positive impact Paw Paws has had on our family.

Manassas Market & Deli
156 N Manassas St, MemphisWas driving thru Memphis and wanted something different. Looks sketchy on the outside. And on the inside. It's a convenience store. *However,* the food was great! And the owners seem like hard-working people just trying to make a living. I'm on a pescatarian diet (fish + veggies), so I didn't try some of their tasty-looking meat options. (Lamb chops?!) Thankfully, they had baked fish, which sounded perfect. The cashier said it would take 20' to cook, and I was willing to wait. I got one of each flavor. I took my food to the car and ate there. You could have told me it was from any restaurant, and I would've believed you. The fish was flavorful and very tender. Very reasonable prices, too. Recommended. Would return. Might try calling in ahead or ordering in advance online.A gem, hidden in plain sight!

Sierra Dobie Farms
6734 Whitten Grove Cove, MemphisI knew after I raised my 4 children into adulthood then I would be able to get the dog I’ve wanted for 46 years. Being that I wanted a specific breed at just the right time I researched for many years, long and hard. Many breeders were unimpressive and less than a handful were “decent”.Over this past year, I discovered Sierra Doberman Farms. I read their website cover to cover. Looked amazing and I frequently visited the site throughout many months before calling. When I called and talked with Steve, I knew I had found the knowledge, integrity, compassion, support, and professionalism I had been looking for in reputable Doberman breeder. Steve was very patient with all my questions and answered them all with complete expertise. He was extremely supportive and was always available to take my calls and texts every step of the way. My pup, Steel arrived last Wednesday through his European partner, Natalia( she was outstanding as well). Steel is strong, healthy, smart, and beautiful. His ears that were professionally cropped were done with precision. I am incredibly grateful to Steve and Natalia for their most upscale and outstanding support in the most perfect dog. This is the best of the best! Thank you, Steve!
