My husband and I recently visited Hollywood Feed with our new Yorkie puppy, and I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Grayson, the associate who turned what could have been an overwhelming shopping trip into an absolute breeze! From the moment we walked in, Grayson was there to help us every step of the way. He guided us through picking the perfect food, suggested the best snacks and even helped me create a custom dog name tag that’s just too cute!
But what really stood out was the personalized advice he gave me. Grayson shared so many helpful tips for raising a happy and healthy puppy! It's clear he genuinely cares about pets and their owners, and that made all the difference.
Honestly, Grayson deserves a raise! His expertise, kindness, and positive attitude make him a true asset to Hollywood Feed. My puppy and I will definitely be back, and it's all thanks to Grayson’s fantastic service. Five stars all the way!

We walked in and Fia automatically received love and nurture from the staff. They provided great tips, advice, food options, and personal experiences. We spent almost an hour in there because of how helpful the staff was . Every last one of them. Hollywood feed is great but this specific location NEVER fails to amaze me.

I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog Bear with them. They are lovely, accommodating people. We have boarded, groomed and done daycare with them several times and it has been a completely wonderful experience each time. They go above and beyond, listen to any concerns or questions you have about your dog, and have met every single request I’ve made of them- whether it is specialty food, applying eye drops, etc. I have never once felt dismissed or ignored or that the people there are fed up with animals- and that’s unusual amongst boarding facilities in my experience. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have peace of mind that the people caring for your animal love your dog as much as you do.To give an example- once my dog was not feeling up to eating and someone sat with him and hand fed him his food. That’s the kind of people at this establishment. They take initiative to care for your animal. Absolutely wonderful staff and we will continue to go to Barks for all our boarding, daycare and grooming in the future.

5074 Park Ave, MemphisPoodle Palace... gets 5 stars today. My experience was a great one. My toy poodle girl Gracie was a mess when she came in. I had been to the other chain groomers 3 times. She's young and needs to go a few times to get accustomed to the process, and truthfully, before now, I never got a real grooming on her. Her hair was super long. So, I was at the vet clinic next door and decided to give them a try. She was bathe, clipped and finally "groomed". A Total Transformation. So we will most likely make this place our groomer from now on. I think they are cash only. But I'll have to double check that on my 2nd visit.

When Berry passed suddenly in late 2020, she helped us with making arrangements. Just recently, we had to say goodbye to our Barney, and we are extremely grateful to Dr. Mays and everyone in the clinic, who all were so wonderful and compassionate during that time.

No Bad Dogs

Taming the Wild

This was our third attempt at getting training that worked for our two female rescues. Before coming to Taming the Wild, we tried in-home training with certified trainers and also sending our dogs to a week long behavioral training program. Neither of those things stuck with our dogs or worked very well for us to incorporate into our daily lives. Bryan, Ashley and the Team at Taming the Wild changed that for us and we are forever grateful!We rescued our girls two years apart from each other when they were both very young puppies. They are now 8 and 6 years old. They're both precious angels in our lives and always have been...however...they had some bad behaviors that we just couldn't seem to get under control. We felt trapped in our own home. We worried about anyone ringing the doorbell, any activity that was out of the ordinary and anyone coming to our home to provide a service (yard, pest, repairs, etc). When you have two - they sometimes feed off of each other. So, when one gets worked up, the other gets worked up and they become hard to control. Top that with one of our girls being EXTREMELY ANXIOUS ALL THE TIME, and it magnifies the circumstances tremendously.As much as our girls get along, love each other and play with each other, when these tense moments of anxiousness and bad behavior arose, it would sometimes lead to the two of them getting into fights with each other. Ugly ones that were hard to stop. Stitches, drains, weeks of medications, cones of shame and keeping them away from each other while they healed :(. It was so sad and so hard for ALL OF US.A close friend of ours had sent one of her dogs to Taming the Wild and said it was not only successful for them, but a totally different approach to training than we had tried in the past. So we gave it a try and we're so glad we did! Both of our girls did the 21-day Board & Train Enhanced Training program based on our needs. We missed them LIKE CRAZY while they were gone!!! However, Ashley was WONDERFUL about sending us updates, pictures and videos each week! She always let us know what they were working on, what they had mastered and how they were doing. When she would send videos, you could hear Ashley and the team talking to our girls and you could just feel the love they had for them! Such a small thing to notice, but such a big feeling of comfort to us that not only were they being taken care of, but treated kindly and LOVED!!!Of special note - as was mentioned earlier, we have one sweet girl with overwhelming anxiety. During the girls training, Bryan evaluated her and shortly after, we met with him to discuss how to help make her life less stressful and happier. He recommended that we try an anti-anxiety medication in addition to the training. We've tried meds for her in the past, but nothing seemed to work or help calm her down. After approval from our vet, we started this new regimen and it has made A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE in all our our lives!!!Since completing the board & train program, our girls understand what is expected of them and you can visibly see how proud they are when they complete a command we've asked of them. It's a WIN for us and a WIN for them - and that makes for a much happier life together!Thank you Bryan, Ashley & the Team at Taming the Wild!!!

I brought my dog in today as a visitor. He goes in another state where we are. I did a terrible job planning ahead and called the day of, but they had space and agreed to have him. What a great relief!
I saw him on the app cams a couple times during the day, being happy and engaged with dogs or people. He was happy when I picked him up and is now snoozing hard.
It's such a blessing to be able to trust our loved animals are cared for when we are away, and especially the last minute help on a trip made our week! Thank you, Chelsea and everyone!

With the open space and wealth of options, I appreciate how Grind City allows you to be in your own space but out and about as well. I typically go for the seltzer or non-beer options they have, and they are generally pretty good, if not creative. One time there was a blue sour patch kids seltzer, and it was excellent. Perhaps that's my only complaint: the non-beer options tend to cycle more frequently than the beer, which means it's always a toss-up. I wish there were some staples here (maybe like the sour patch kids one!) so I could always rely on that. Nonetheless, with the open space, good vibe, and overall good flow, I will always join for a visit here with friends.
