Pashby's is the only auto shop in the entire Memphis area that I trust to work on my vehicles. Excellent employees and service. ?

Zero stars would be a more accurate rating. I will never spend another dime with this establishment. I own a 2015 Traverse jointly with my step daughter. she took it to them many times with good results. The last time, well, not so good. They diagnosed her car with a leaking radiator and on the ticket said it needed to be replaced. The cost was too steep so I opted to do it myself. The car sat in my driveway for a little over a month. I purchased a radiator from Amazon and sourced other parts locally. I put the car on jack stands, removed the two front tires, then removed the bumper cover. I removed the radiator cap and noticed the radiator was full, I looked at the reservoir and it too, was full. I thought to myself maybe it leaks when it is running. This was not the case. I cranked the car, turned the AC on max and let it run, FOR 3 HOURS! No leak, and the temp stayed at 210. The following day I drove it anout 40 miles with no cooling issues. Today I drove it to work without incident. I spoke to the manager, he said the service writer and tech both say the radiator was leaking from a seam. The car did not repair itself. This is complete dishonesty. If this were truly a mistake, they would have made it right and gave my step daughter a refund and an apology. These are not honest people. Women, especially, from the reviews here on Hoogle as well as FB and Yelp are populated with women being taken advantage of. Stay away from this business. They are not worth the risk.

I had long known the fine Pashby family but just recently had the opportunity to bring a real problematic older car in to the shop. A car that had sat too long and had multiple issues.I found them to communicate well, assure that each step of the extensive needed work was approved, and they ultimately took care of everything. I know that Jason would be proud of how Candice has carried on the business after his untimely departure to Heaven. I think that ladies might well be nervous about bringing cars into shops sometimes, but they might feel better if they knew a wonderful lady owns and runs this one? They also loved on my dog, CrashtheLawDog. Anyway, I brought them a big problem and they came through for me. Now that restored car is going off to become a missionary kid’s very first car. Thank you Pashby’s for being there for us! God bless y’all.

I would rate this shop lower if I could. I have been flipping cars since I was sixteen, and I have never dealt with a more dishonest bunch of mechanics in my life. Allow me to tell you a story. I am rebuilding a 96 GMC 1500. I had the transmission rebuilt, and I picked it up from Coleman Taylor and noticed a fluid leak. My brakes were spongy as hell, so I climbed under, and loe and behold: a brake line leak. Dot 3 dripping as a class 3 from the line running along the frame rail. I was trying to drive it back to Arkansas that day so I called several shops to find one that could do that repair and hopefully have it back same day. Pashby's told me to bring it to them. When I arrived, I explained to them EXACTLY what the problem was. They told me it be at least $100 dollars to look at it. I said fine. Three days later, a mechanic from the shop calls me and proceeds to tell me my brake line was not leaking. He said the problem was "my wheel seal, or my wheel cylinder". He also wanted 1400 dollars to "fix" my problem. Being a female mechanic, I knew that the price was a complete rip off. I told them no thank you, that I could do that in my driveway in two hours for 100 dollars in parts. They said ok, come pick it up for $310 dollars to diagnose my wheel seal and cylinder. I paid it and started the work myself. When I get it apart, NONE OF THOSE PARTS WERE DEFECTIVE. NOT ONE. If you are a mechanic and looked at it you would know. I changed the seal anyway because why not? But when I went to bleed the brakes, Dot 3 straight up pours from the line on the frame rail, exactly where I showed the shop. Pashby's either has the most incompetent mechanics in the country, or they PURPOSEFULLY tried to overcharge a female, something they probably routinely do, because they did not know that I knew about maintenance. Then they allowed to me to take that fraudulent diagnosis and waste my Christmas Eve tearing apart and axle that did not have a thing to do with my very specific problem. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!signed, a ticked off customer that will be coming for my wasted 310 diagnostic fee refund.

Brought my 2006 Nissan 350z here because I had a belt squeak i was told belts needed replacement so I had it replaced then a few weeks later I take the car around the corner to a pharmacy and the belts get torn off so I call the shop have it towed pay fees $$$ then a week later the guy Chris calls me tells me I need a harmonic balancer replacement so I buy a replacement they install it two weeks later then I drive the Nissan home and park it . Then one morning decide to go for a drive pull into a empty lot while parked in a parking lot my pulley system fails immediately on start up completely disconnected and destroyed everything I call pashbys no answer first time then I get ahold of them and get a tow set up pay more fees$$$ only for the car to sit for weeks in their lot for some reason because every time I called I was told Chris was at lunch which apparently takes 3+hours then one day i call and they say the pulleys are destroyed and that they aren’t at fault some how , so I’m left with a destroyed crank pulley then I ordered another pulley and belt (brand new) 4 weeks go by they finally get it on the car I take the care home and park it in my garage .then one day I decide to take the z 5min from my house to work then all the sudden the new one falls of which leads me to assume the shop is installing them wrong for it to happen twice so I take it to a actual reputable mechanic here in Memphis who works on these cars and he tells me both parts I bought are good and that they installed them wrong not to proper spec and that’s what destroyed the parts he also tells me it had nothings to do with the brand or materials if they were torqued to the right spec they shouldn’t fail & that the timing is messed up due the pulleys failing so many times and he advised me to take it back to them to have them take another look because they are the ones who did the work the first time (so I do just that). And I waited months calling every week trying to Find out what happened and what the status was every time I called I was told Chris is at lunch or there is no mechanic on site then 3+months later I call they finally answer and tell me my crank shaft is destroyed and I need a new motor then they say that they are not at fault and say they can’t do anything then he has the audacity to give me a 12,000$ quote for a replacement from them. Iv spent thousands of dollars $$$$ with these people I trusted them every time for them to leave me with a lemon and thousands of dollars in bills not even an apology in the end. !!!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS !!!!!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!We took our vehicle to have a repair. We asked if they performed warranty work and they stated yes. So our warranty company worked with them and stated what was required for them to get paid. They only needed MRSP list price for the parts they were to replace. (Not their discounted business purchase price or their mark up price; Only from where they purchase parts the MRSP price.) Pashby's shop manager agreed to this while on a 3 way call with warranty company and customer. He also read the pre-authorization email of what was required to get paid from the warranty company while on phone and agreed to it. But now he will not send over the print out of what he quoted were the prices to the warranty company. That is all the warranty company needs to provide instant payment! Now they have had our car ready for a week holding it Hostage in my opinion, since they want us to pay for total and not go through our warranty. Not sure why unless they are shady in their practices. We highly do NOT RECOMMEND this shop. They do not honor their word to customer or other professionals in their field. They basically have horrible customer communication too. We spoke to multiple warranty agents and they said all other shops they have ever worked with provide the MRSP List price for parts!!!!

Had a valve adjustment done here in May of 2021 and much to my dismay, the valves needed to be adjusted again by a more reputable mechanic who informed me that the original adjustment was done so badly that he had never seen anything like it. When I called and asked about it I was told that I could pay for diagnostics and repair at full price if I wanted it fixed correctly. I will not be returning here and I don't recommend that anyone does.Terribly done valve adjustment could have ended up being extremely hazardous to myself or my family or ruining my engine.
