Our dog developed a bad limp and they were nice enough to squeeze him into their already busy schedule

Very low key, relaxed environment. They really genuinely care about you and your pet/pets. I mean I had brought an old cat and dog of mine around 1998. That had been the last time I had been there. 25 years later, I find myself living in the Humes Heights area for a few years with two dogs. Cecil, our 100 lb. Catahoula had broke through our fence and split his real paw in two right between his toes, and a deep puncture would inside his back groin/leg. They were so booked up and not taking new patients at the time. I mentioned I had brought and old pet of mine , Bob, in 25 years ago, and Bingo! They still had him in their data system all this time later. Couldn't ask for a better Dr and team. They also won't gouge you like some of the other vets a couple streets North on Poplar. Highly recommended using them if you can get in.

Been going there since before it was in that building. Dr. Mc Cutchen is the best! Smart, professional and will always go the extra mile for your pets. The staff is friendly and kind. You really know that they all care about every animal that walks in the door.

EDIT: updated to 3 stars because my dad got them to find our info in the system.I called there for the first time for our dog and the receptionist said my last name was not in the system. I gave the names of specific family members who might’ve taken our dog anywhere and she said they’re not in the system either and I was told this office isn’t taking new patients. I got off the phone and my sister said both she and our dad (two names I told the receptionist) have taken our dog there multiple times. I’ll change the rating if someone actually looks (instead of saying they did) and allows us to make an appointment for the return patient.

I have never experienced anything or king won’t the vet or anything, but the receptionist was very rude and hung up the phone in my face; she didn’t even try to help me with my concern. She said to me @sir we are not accepting new clients, and haven’t done so in 3 years”! I understand, but she didn’t have to be rude.

Dr. McCutcheon and staff are the best of the best! They are compassionate, knowledgeable and just awesome all around. I was devastated to find out that my favorite pet has cancer. They all went above and beyond to comfort me. I will always be grateful to them.

My neighbors who are lucky all bring their animals here. They're not accepting any new patients, but maybe one day. I'll keep holding my breath. Reasonably priced, thorough, excellent care.
