An absolute pleasure to work with Dr. Novick and his team. So grateful for all the knowledge they are imparting to my staff in Lubumbashi. They are really in the profession for the right reasons. I love working with the NCA team. They have come twice to my hospital so far in the DRC, and have had a great impact on my staff. Not only do we save lives with them, but the NCA team also makes sure to teach the staff so that they get better at their jobs in non-cardiac surgery related care too!

I cannot say enough positive things about NCA. Not only do they give volunteers the opportunity of a lifetime, but they leave a lasting positive impression and life long change in their wake. They don’t simply show up, they build capacity, and develop skills in local staff. An amazing organization that does amazing work. If you’re able to hop on a trip, you won’t regret it!

I've volunteered as a PICU RN on three trips with Novick Cardiac Alliance. Between their logistics, OR, and PICU teams I've always felt safe, supported, and empowered to deliver care that is family centred, culturally aware, and based in best practice. The education that NCA delivers to clinicians around the world is so incredibly valuable. The work they do in establishing and sustaining pediatric cardiothoracic surgery programs is so incredibly valuable to the children and the families it serves and I'm so proud to be part of their team.

An amazing organization that is 120% dedicated to helping children with heart disease live normal lives. Having witnessed first hand the vision and dedication of the entire team, especially to rise above the politics and chaos of the world, in their tireless efforts to help children, it gives me some hope that the children of today might have the opportunity to grow up in a better world. I work with NCA since 7 years ago in several places along the world and I saw in each mission the acknowledge of the people than the organization help, many times in hard conditions but with the unique spirit to improve the future of kids with cardiac disease. Infancy is the same in over the world and deserve the most dedicated effort of all of us for them.

i've had the privilege of participating in humanitarian cardiac surgical missions with NCA for more than 14 years, and am always honored to be able to serve at their side to help more children with heart disease; a non-profit non-governmental organization with a visionary leader whose primary goal is to help ALL children across the globe who need their hearts fixed, regardless of their origin, religion, ethnicity or politics.

It was a great experience. As a medical student, I had the chance to watch this team tirelessly save the lives of many babies born with heart disease and take good care of them. It was humane, genuine and educational. I learned a lot, especially form Dr Novick; he is such an inspiration! I’m glad I participated in this amazing mission and I’d love to take part in it again.

During our time as medical students with the alliance, we learned a lot. The team never hesitated answering our questions not even for a second. They took out of their break time to deliver very informative lectures, took us in to witness the surgeries first hand, and taught us many valuable skills. Looking forward for future collaborations!

The Novick Cardiac Alliance: A team of professionals from all over the world dedicated to help innocent children from all over the world with a small heart problem, but with great implications... That's why they fixed this small defect yet caused a great impact .
