What a wonderful first month. I have been to other gyms and really like some things about this one. First is the people. Great group of folks that range from super elite to folks like me. Second, The Kickstarter is a series of five small 1:1 sessions to assess your fitness and allow you to quickly become a butt kicking class member. This is done by testing strength, flexibility, and endurance. Last is the level program that allows everyone to do the same workout while having modifications built in based on the assessments mentioned above. This has the added benefit of the trainers being able to meet you where you are. I showed up because of word of mouth and would love to pay that forward. It is worth coming in and see for yourself. Ask lots of questions and see if you are not impressed by the team!

Was the best gym in town for many years. Because this was the only place in town that had 6+ places to squat, 2 places to deadlift, plus loads of other power lifting equipment, it was well worth the $60. They also championed the idea that people shouldn't be forced to cover their face while exercising during the covid restrictions, which I credit them hugely for. However, a few months ago they moved all the powerlifting equipment to a much smaller box behind the main building, which has no AC, only 2 places to squat, no dedicated deadlift zones... and need I say more?I believe the people who come for group classes and crossfit pay more per month (more on that later) and I guess I can't blame a business for chasing more revenue. But I'm not sure how they justify sticking lifters into a small shack without AC. That's a pretty sick joke in the deep south where summers bring 100+ degrees 100% humidity. It's completely unacceptable, honestly.I stopped going here for a couple of years because I moved somewhere too far from the gym. But in early 2022 I rejoined. When I first joined, back in 2016, I just gave them some info, paid the money and that was that. This time however I had to schedule a "No Sweat Intro" which ended up just being an aggressive sales pitch where Angie tried her hardest to sell me $400 per month group classes despite me declining firmly over and over. I explained to her very clearly that I literally do not have that kind of money and it's just not going to happen, but she wouldn't take no for an answer. She kept trying and it gave me anxiety because of the financial situation I was in at this time. She took things that I had said earlier in the "interview" and used them against me to try and pressure me into these classes. Obvious sales psychology that I found extremely off putting. I get that she and the gym make more money when they sell more services, but I think they should respect the line between doing your job and doing too much, as well as respect peoples boundaries. To the owners: DO NOT REPLY TO THIS giving me some canned HR response about "we do the no sweat into because we strive to offer the best blah blah blah" - this was not about you guys trying to do what's right for customers. It was a dirty sales tactic, and that's it.Really an honest shame what happened to this gym. I'll be checking out Golds and other places to join this week.

I joined NBS three months ago and it has been a great journey so far. I was getting back into the gym after a long hiatus and my personal trainer Rylan helped me in building back confidence in the gym. He is knowledgeable and always willing to help. All the existing members were really welcoming and in no time, I was making friends and workout partners.

All the staff and members have been amazing with all my questions. I really loved this concept but couldn’t drive out to Cordova from my house in Collierville. I was ecstatic to see it out here!!! Everyone is encouraging and helpful even though my level is no where near theirs. They don’t outdo and make anyone feel as if they don’t belong. It definitely feels like a family. I look forward to the challenges everyday!!!

I joined the NBS family in June. I say family because it’s a group of people who want to see everyone succeed with their weight goals, health and nutrition. Give NBS a try if you are looking for a challenging work out and encouraging environment! I’m so glad I did!!

What an awesome place to chase your fitness goals! The coaches are excellent in terms of not only their technical expertise, but also in the way they stay engaged with each and every athlete, regardless of skill level or experience. They do a nice job of catering their coaching styles to the athlete themselves, and definitely push everyone to stay focused on getting better in some way each day. You don't have to be a stud athlete to fit in here -- you just have to come in and want to get better at something.I've lost about 6% body fat and gained about 2 lbs of muscle over the last 30-60 days by using their nutrition program in addition to the normal workout schedule, and I can say their nutrition advice is also top notch if you're willing to be realistic and stick to the plan. For an experience that will help you stay fit for the rest of your life, NBS is absolutely worth giving a try -- I'm just sad I didn't show up sooner!

I have been taking my fitness classes at NBS Fitness for almost two years. The quality of the workouts is fantastic. But more than that is the sense of community that is present there. It is such a great place to work out, I can not recommend it enough.

Great place to workout! The coaches and community are awesome too! They are very supportive, positive and professional. The classes for CrossFit style workouts use the Level Method and the program works very well. I’ve lost 20 pounds in 3 1/2 months since I started, and my strength, flexibility and endurance have improved greatly! When I started, I could only dead lift 115 pounds and now I can lift 250 pounds. My runs started out at 100 meters, now I’m up to a mile with no problems! That being said, you have to do the work and keep yourself on track in other areas, like nutrition, recovery and mindset. NBS helps with that too. They give you the tools like nutrition and mindset counseling, recovery sessions and other clinics. It is a full package. Bottom line, I highly recommend NBS Fitness!

Awesome place to work out! I’ve dropped 20 pounds body weight and went from deadlifting 115 pounds to 250 pounds in 3 1/2 months. Great staff and community too. This isn’t some gym membership you pay for and just have access to equipment. They provide a program with coaching, training in nutrition, recovery and mindset as a whole package. It works! That being said, I do believe there are different types of memberships available, that can be tailored to your needs. I do the CrossFit styles workouts. I highly recommend NBS Fitness!!!

This gym cares about you, me, and supporting our fitness goals. The staff is energetic, positive, and wants you to succeed without making you feel bad for where you are at. You’re given a specialized workout plan that fits nicely alongside everyone else’s workout plan, shame free! I may be working out with experienced gym goers, but my plan allows me to feel strong and confident in what I am doing- judgment free. Where else can you find this?! I don’t regret my decision to join NBS Fitness. They’re worth every penny…so are you!

I travel often for work from state to state. This gym is one of the best I have been to! They worked with my limited time in the area with their membership and existing members are very kind and helpful.

NBS fitness cares about YOU. You won’t get lost in the mix or find yourself paying for a membership that you don’t use. The reason being: they care about your success. I signed up for a package that includes coaching and accountability. It’s worth the investment and it’s more affordable than paying a personal trainer on top of a gym membership.
