This place is not great. The doctor is okay, but the people at the front desk are AWFUL. They are so rude. They have lost my order of glasses multiple times and make out to be my fault. Not coming back.

I had a great experience at this location. I was in and out in 50 minutes. Everyone was very nice and I paid less than I anticipated. They gave me the option to have my contacts mailed to me which is great.

I done had my eye exam and no glasses my card was charged was asked to email printout still no glass this was in June and I’m still getting the run around.

Had my eye exam done on 8/2/24. Called the office on Friday 8/16 inquiring if my glasses were in. Was rudely told they would call me when the glasses arrived. Received an email on Saturday 8/17 my glasses were ready. The office is closed on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. Came to the office on there "open" business day at 1:30 and they are closed. Here today on Friday 8/23 at 2pm and they are closed. Business hours say open from 9am-6pm. I just need my glasses.

It was wonderful the Dr was very thorough and explained everytng very well. Made me feel comfortable and even showed me puvture of my eyes and explained they were very normal and healthy. Made my day...I'm getting older and nice to be treated with respect. He is a wonderful Dr.

Horrible experience! If I could give this review negative stars I would!
1. I was not told initially that there is a "contact fitting fee"
2. When I expressed that I had never heard of a "contact fitting fee", Dr.Lex Barkley repeatedly told me that "All" eye centers charge the fee. I responded and asked what the fee was and he responded " I won't know until I check your son's eyes." He obviously remembered that the young lady in the lobby was running initial tests and states "I will actually know when she's done."
Go figure. Oh! He also expressed that I could go "wherever I had been that didn't charge, " even with me stating it was a different business! Wow, the disrespect! (My son went to a different eye center because he was on a different plan. However, insurance changed and now he can go to myeyedr with me.)
3. He gets the information and says my son has a stigmatism in both eyes. Now get this, the fee is $145.00! Your insurance pays $150.00 on contacts. (If the exam for contacts is $145.00, it clearly depletes the credit I receive from insurance, which seems to be intentional.)
4. My appt was at 11:20a by 12:20pm my son has placed the trial contacts in his eyes, and we are waiting on the doctor about 10 min. Again, I've been there since 11:20a! He is with another patient and we've now been here almost 2 hours!
5. I got to the front desk and inform them that I must leave for us to return to work snd school.The response is "we can't let you leave because the dr has to see your son's contacts, and have him remove them and placw them in his eyes AGAIN! Why go to the next customer if you're not done with the previous customer. Especially, for an exam that requires so much. This could have been avoided if questions were asked when they called and confirmed or upon arrival for the appointment.
So, we're expected to be delayed because Dr. Barkley decided to assist the next customer...Not!
6. The older young lady with gray locs was rude and purposely took her time completing my transaction. I expressed to her what was previously told to me about there being no balance due for the contact fitting and she completely IGNORED ME! She continued to tell me that she didn't have my chart and took her time to ring me up for, get this, 10 whole dollars! My receipt literally had this $10.00 fee listed as a miscellaneous fee with no real information because, as she claims, "she didn't have my son's chart."
However, the Bartlett location was able to access this information literally the moment I got to my car!
Overall, I rescheduled the contact fitting for the Bartlett location. I regularly schedule my visits at the location, because they have wonderful customer service and I feel valued as customer. In fact, I called them after my horrible experience at the Poplar-University location and they scheduled my appointment for the next day!
Going forward, I will NEVER return to the Poplar-University location, and will be sure to spread the word on how they treated me and my experience!
On top of feeling under valued, I was treated like a number and the customer service was disgusting! Never visit this location! TRUST ME YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Dr.Doug is EXCELLENT! Horrible FRONT DESK! YOLONDA has NO Customer service in her, she is Not pleasant at all. Everything else was great.

These are not the frames I picked out. They are smaller. Not sure how to handle this since I do not drive to keep popping in. The staff tried to charge more. Still owes me a 20 percent refund because of my insurance. Staff was very, I want to go home. The payment was paid when I left, now all the sudden I owe. If that was the case they would have not given them to me. They are so rude there.
