I went to this salon years ago (2016/2017) and the damage made me have to big chop which led to my getting locs for years. I was thinking about going back today and see that recent reviews are consistent with my total of 3x getting blow outs here. I am so disappointed that they have not changed their business practices based on the feedback! I was thinking about going today but I absolutely cannot afford another 6 years of restoring my hair! Why is this still being allowed?!

4/13/2024. Worst $77 dollars spent. I got corn row twistouts. The parts are all crooked and the so called bun that was added to the back is flat and off-centered. My hair looks awful! They didn't even smooth my edges. I went home and didnt even wait to get out of the car before adding this review. Never ever ever again!!! EVER! (Edited: Finally made it in the house. Taking my hair down to re-shampoo and put it back in a ponytail).

Ive visited Marthas for years and Ive never had any issues until recently. Customer service is normally pretty good. Prices have increased but still good service for your money. Recently *** started bringing my daughter with me to get her hair silk pressed. This past weekend we both received service. The weekend before Christmas to be exact. We were the first customers so service was rather quick. My stylist started my hair first then several minutes later my daughter stylist started her hair. My hair is thin and not as long as my daughter hair so it doesnt take long to dry or style. My daughter hair is very thick and much longer than mines so it normally takes a little longer. However my stylist and my daughter stylist finished at the same time. It kind of alarmed me but I didnt make a fuss about it. Not to mention by the time I turned around the stylist had already wrapped her hair. I never seen the finish look but I took my teenage daughter word that it was straight and *** never had a problem with our hair not being straight. However with it being a holiday weekend and it being extremely crowded I think she rushed the process. Which lead to my daughter hair not being straight on Christmas. I was so disappointed. Not to mention I paid a $100 for us both and tipped both stylist. Had I known I would have went back up there that day however we both kept our hair wrapped until Christmas. Due to Christmas being on a Monday and me having to work I went into ****** today 12/28/23 to address the issue. The stylist had her sit down and led me to believe she was going to fix her hair free of charge. Once she was done they gave me the hardest time in front of everyone in the shop. I tried explaining everything but all ****** is concerned about is money. She kept saying its been a week etcshes greedy and is willing to loose two good long term paying customers over a few dollars. I was embarrassed and disappointed. *** never tried to get over on anyone.

Kudos to the ladies over at "MP" at the Kirby location! The best in the city! My Princess had her hair straightened for the first time. I really appreciate a JOB WELL DONE!!!!

Love, love, and will forever LOVE Martha’s Palace. Been going here for 10 years now. They never disappoint me and haven’t switched up anything. I get tired of Memphis radio station, as you can see they have diverse music. LOVE IT!! They had people running to the door 5mins before opening. I got there on time and I was still #10. #Iykyk, yet still great service.
Majority of them speak a little English, very are polite and sweet.
Came from FL to visit and my first appointment canceled on me. I knew exactly where to go, contrary to recent reviews. I adore and LOVE Martha Palace. Thank you guys for existing, hopefully I will visit next time I’m in town

My daughters hair is always done great here! If you have thin or brittle hair I would not recommend the blowout due to heat damage, but the have other options for natural hair as well as permed.

Please I bag you don’t go to them please please please they will take every bite of your money ams your hair gone they don’t do black people hair the right way they don’t use the right hair products for us black people with Coarse kinky hair they will take all your hair OUT DONT GO TO THEM and they will act like they can do sew-in no they can’t or Dreadlocks Slap a pound of Hair gel on and the root want even be twisted down please get service somewhere else please. Please please please please please please don’t go to them. They are cheap for a reason

I was here today at 3:32 and they were SOOOOOOOOOO Loud. the whole time i was there they was talking I was so happy when I left I will not come back here again all I wanted to do is relax. I will not recommend coming here. For anyone who is seeing this please I hope this helps you. Also be careful when you decide what hair salons you go to.

Never go back. The workers are friendly, but they can not do hair. I sat and watched them mess up a lot of people's hair. They always try to give me this grandma hair style. I say straight they give me a big a** flip.

Poor Unprofessional Customer Service!!!! My mother was the first person at the Shop, and was skipped over, they stated, the other Lady comes all the time, so we have to let her skip. (Only received an Explanation After I asked for management) No Apology or Nothing ?
