My recent experience with Jared Galleria of Jewelry, particularly in purchasing a titanium wedding band, unfortunately fell short of expectations due to several significant issues.
I initially purchased the ring on May 14th during a Mother's Day sale, attracted by its competitive price of approximately $250. The ring was sized as a 9, based on measurements taken in-store. However, upon receiving it, I found the fit uncomfortably loose and almost lost it during my workday. Concerned, I returned to Jared seeking a solution. They recommended exchanging it for a size 8.5, acknowledging the original size was indeed too large despite their earlier sizing recommendation.
This is where things escalated. During the exchange process, I was informed the ring was no longer on sale, resulting in a sudden price increase of $100. Despite my disappointment and explanation of my budget constraints, the store staff insisted on the higher price, leaving me no choice but to proceed with the purchase on credit.
Two weeks later, the replacement ring arrived, and once again, it did not fit properly. On June 14th, just shy of the 30-day return policy deadline, I attempted to return it to the Jared location. Here, I encountered further issues: the store's iPads were malfunctioning, making it impossible to process my return without the order number, which I did not have on hand. Despite my efforts to find a resolution, including contacting another Jared location, I faced rigid adherence to policy and unhelpful responses that ultimately forced me to drive to the Collierville location on the same day, causing significant delays and inconvenience, including a delay at work.
My frustrations were compounded when I called the Collierville location and encountered a rude staff member who was dismissive and unhelpful. Despite explaining my situation and the urgency due to the malfunctioning iPads at the other location, she refused to assist without an order number, which was not readily available to me. This encounter further added to the overall negative experience.
Eventually, after much difficulty, I managed to complete the return with the assistance of a different staff member who located the order under my wife's name. Throughout this ordeal, the lack of flexibility in accommodating my situation and the technical issues with their equipment compounded my frustration.
My experience with Jared Galleria of Jewelry was marked by multiple disappointments and inadequate customer service. The strict adherence to policies, despite the circumstances, and the malfunctioning equipment that hindered a simple return process left me deeply dissatisfied.
Given these issues, I regret to say that I will not be returning to Jared for future jewelry purchases.
