I stayed here last night and had to immediately change rooms because of the smell of cigarettes. I woke up to my truck being broken into. I spoke to another patron and found out this is a regular occurrence here, unfortunately my truck was one of three broken into that specific night. And come to
Find out it’s a common occurrence. This isn’t the first time it’s happened, don’t let the ratings fool you like they did me. This is not the place to stay, I talked to a patron who has stayed here prior and told me that this happened the last time they were there as well. You will not be happy or safe here it’s a sham DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

The room smelled so bad. I'm not sure what it was but it was a bad stinch. Location was awesome. Plenty of places to eat and shop. I wouldn't want to go back here vc of the smell.
Walkability: Walk to shop and eating places. Several to choose from.

Came to this hotel with my wife to stay two nights, we had room 404.
The stay was perfect, the room clean and spacious, and the welcome, breakfast and services perfect!
At the start of the stay the receptionist apologized as they were fixing the hot water. I liked this transparent side and honestly the intervention was quick and we had no problems with it.
In conclusion, the stay was worth the price of the room for the nut.
The advantages of the hotel:
- Receptionist welcome and availability.
- Free parking and secure location.
- Different breakfast every morning and with choice.
- Cucumber/lemon water as desired.
The hotel's disadvantages:
- 30 minutes by car from the center of Memphis
- The room without too much light.
- Why would a bathtub in a room for the disabled have been more practical?
Safety: Location away from the city center (the least) but very protected (the plus)

2nd time I stayed there my room stank like feet and smoke. Called down to the front and they said they couldn't help me.. so they sent me some can of air freshener that goes in an automatic air freshener machine it didn't help

Over the past 1.5 years I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. While the rooms are consistently clean and the general staff very friendly there are two particular issues I have. When travelling the fitness centers are important to me and yet each time I have stayed here the elliptical machine has not worked. The second time I happened to meet the General Manager (Annette?) who promised me she would follow up and if it did not work the next time she would comp the room. Lo and behold it had the same exact issue as the prior two times and was unusable. She was not in until 10am so I wrote her a note and gave it to the front desk clerk who promised to pass it on to her. I reminded her of our conversation, gave her my email and cell and go no response; not even an apology.
Given this lack of follow through and false promises I will not stay here again and would advise anyone who cares about working fitness equipment not to do so either.

We stayed on the 5th floor…Room was nice…sofa bed wasn’t the most comfy but hey it’s a sofa bed! The $8 breakfast charge was interesting. Breakfast offered eggs, breakfast meat, pancakes/french toast, tortillas, pastries, oatmeal,etc. A variety of juices/drinks and coffee wasn’t very warm. We actually live 15 minutes away but wanted to have a staycation hotel with an outdoor pool. We enjoyed the pool! Goes from 3-6ft. Staff was good. Polite and courteous but not overly friendly. Took off a star because pool doesn’t open until 10a. Wanted to try and get a swim before check out but not a big deal! (Picture taken by my 4 year old)

Prime location with so much shopping in the area. The mall is across the street plenty of food selections. Only downfall is the bathroom lol all the room went to the walk-in shower. Which is awesome, but the toilet is to close to the door. In all great hotel clean well stocked, front desk is great.
Noteworthy details: If your a walker there are some great stores in walking distance

Nice hotel clean rooms very friendly staff and great central location. I took off a star because they are now charging $8 for an "upgraded" breakfast. I've stayed at dozens of other hyatt places and there is nothing upgraded about this breakfast it's actually worse than many other ones. I probably won't be back unless they get rid of that surcharge

This is a great hotel. Modern spacious rooms, friendly staff, upscale breakfast, pristine pool, and a great location with shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

My experience wasn't perfect, but the way this hotel handled our issue absolutely was. My family and I had earlier in the day used the Hyatt's Globalists line to book two rooms for the night that were connecting. The representative promised us connecting rooms. (Keep in mind this was not the hotel but Hyatt's corporate call center and none of the issues were caused by this hotels location) Upon arriving I was informed that they did not have availability for the connecting rooms. The GM, who I could tell was about to leave for the day, stayed and did everything she could to try to make something happen. She went as far as to personally call other gms of Hyatt's in the area, unfortunately none of the other hotels had any ability to get us connecting rooms either. Her staff also did everything they could even getting us numbers to other hotel chains in the area. I spend a ton of time staying in Hyatts across the country and the service level of this location has to be the best I've seen. None of the issues were their fault but they did everything in their power to try to make it right. If Memphis was a place I regularly visit, this would be my go to hotel.

very typical lack of customer service. swipe your card then don't bother us anymore. not worth the money. top dollar for motel 6 servce
