Hertz return agent deliberately charged for fuel after inspecting that tank was full. Insisted on sending the receipt via email. This is a dishonest activity. The system even prompts for disputed fuel charges placing the burden on
the customer to provide additional proof - hoping customers don't follow through on confirmation. Frustrating and inconvenient. Poor customer service for gold members. Will inform company to drop Hertz as preferred corp partner. I'm certain they can track locally the airports that violate the customers the most.

NIGHTMARE-- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! There is NO WAY to talk to a human when there is an issue. Car smelled of body odor horribly after sitting in the sun. Shook horribly when going over 50 mph. Told the agent at the counter and got a blank stare. Was overcharged (SIGNIFICANTLY) because the "system was down" when I returned the car. Have tried calling and used every touch option on the phone to talk to a human. That's a "no." Submitted several customer service requests (as directed when I called) online and NOTHING. They are theives. Left a review and they suggested I go to ANOTHER web site??? The link led nowhere....

No stars at all but this option is not available. I had reservation, received a lot of emails, text etc. However there was NO CARS available when I arrived at the airport. They said that would call me in one hour - NEVER CALLED OR TEXTED. It was not only me. There was like 6 people in the same situation. How can it happens ?? it is an airport car rental that had no cars available ?! I spent much more money because I had to user taxi app all the time..... Now I will have to cancel the payment - that is always a headache. I will never use Hertz again and will spread the bad experience. According to the taxi driver they always do that, but I cant confirm.

Why I'm the world would you only schedule ONE person to work the counter on Labor Day weekend? Not to mention the reader board says check in online and skip the line, but that is not true. You only get to skip the line if you check in on the App. Otherwise you still have to wait and get your "vehicle assignment" from the clerk at the counter. Be more clear and do better Hertz.

My worst experience EVER. I am a gold plus member and picked up my car but could not leave because the staff left before our plane landed and no one was there to let me (and 4 other Gold plus members) out of the lot. Since all other rental companies were sold out, my only option is to take an Uber to my destination (which is an hour way) or wait until 5 AM when they open again. Do NOT rent Hertz Memphis Airport

Terrible incompetent customer service! The skip the line crap doesn’t work either. They charge extra for spouse. Do yourself a favor and walk down to Alamo. It may cost you more but it’s worth it,plus they don’t charge extra for spouse

I flew into Memphis and rented an SUV to move my son into Ole Miss. The woman at the counter was very friendly so I had high hopes. I was instructed to take the Rav 4 which wasn’t the Nissan Rogue I had rented but it was comparable so I was ok with it. There were no keys in it and the man who had pointed yelled for me to take it had disappeared. I went back to the office and the woman behind the desk was annoyed and said nobody can find the keys for that car. Then I got a KIA Sorento. This was a lovely car. However as I was checking out I noticed that the check engine light was on. The man operating the exit said I should bring it back. I again went to the counter this time the pregnant lady was visibly annoyed. She yelled at me and said the only other car was a KIA Soul and I would have to take that. This was not an SUV. It was a clown car. I had to make multiple trips when moving my son in. It made our trip more stressful. I contacted Hertz multiple times about a credit since I did not get the car I reserved. I just got a standard email of apology with an incorrect name. The customer service rep just left last in the space for where my name would go on the letter. She said since I accepted the car there was nothing they could do. I didn’t have a choice to not accept it because there were no other options.They offered me a coupon for a future rental. This is of no use to me because I will never be renting from Hertz again.

This location continues to get worse as hard as it may seem! I continue to use them as I rent from hertz all over the country and have the highest priority status available
The last two trips they overcharged me by 4 times the quoted rate. Getting a refund is a ridiculously long and tedious process
Incredibly rude woman charged me $100 cleaning fee for taking the car for a simple exterior car wash. As a frequent traveler who rents a car weekly I’ve never been charged for something like this or been treated with such disrespect.

Horrible service!!! We had a vehicle booked for 2pm, the front desk person was extremely rude! Told us that all cars were late coming in, didn’t offer to help or compensate. Only cared about up charging. We finally got a manager to call her phone to speak with us, he was even worse! A second manager came down and was blown away that there was a 2 page waiting list for cars for existing reservations. He offered to update us after we were told we were never added to the waiting list, had to go back in line and deal with the extremely unprofessional desk agent who kept texting on her personal phone with zero care in the world for her customers. Worst customer service, worst rental car experience, HIGHLY CAUTION renting here!
Any of the other rental car companies seemed to have happier customers. We saw this during our 2 hour wait. Took 2 hours and 15 minutes and several phone calls to get a car that reeked of cigarettes.

Make sure you take pictures of the gas level and miles when dropping off your rental. I was charged a $98 fuel fee even though the gas tank was FULL!

I would give a zero star if I could. Our flight landed at 6:45PM. We received our rental OVER TWO HOURS later, which was ridiculous! When we first arrived, I walked up to the counter and gave my information, the VERY RUDE staff member stated there was an hour wait because the "cars were dirty." We waited and waited, nothing. My husband walked up and asked another worker to check the status and she stated that they had no vehicles available and that we had to wait. If I cancelled it wasn't guaranteed I would get a refund. Which was BS! After a very long day of travel, we were rightfully upset. There was a room full of customers waiting for cars and also extremely upset. Finally when they called our name, we used our credit card and it was charged 3x's plus the deposit. Keep in mind, I had pre-paid when making the reservation. Seven days later, one transaction has posted and the others are still showing as "pending". When we demanded a to speak to the manager (after and verbal altercation with the staff member) she told me "I could walk outside to look for one" and when she stated that to me, I refused to leave and finally she called over a "manager" whom did not care. She was just a rude and inconsiderate of the situation. I will NEVER recommend this rental company! I have reached out and have yet to receive a call back regarding the transaction(s) on my acct.
**Update** I contacted this company via FB messenger and basically was told I need to contact my bank after showing them screenshots of the transactions on my accts. They no longer replied. Great customer service!
