This was the worst mistake taking our car there trying to support our community black owned businesses and got screwed. Be forewarned that he does not do quality work and he does not stand by his words. He lied about the work he was going to do as well using used parts that did not match our car.

I went to Mr. Hardaway because he was recommended by my God-Dad, and I love supporting Black Owned Community Businesses. His Work was Adequate A+, however he showed his True Character when I was preparing to Pay for Service Rendered, which is why I gave him 1 Star. I received my first quote of $1.425.95, however he called me later and stated I needed more parts, and the total would be $1862.11. This was Not a problem because I wanted my car repaired. My husband dropped me off at Mr. Hardaway's, and left, so that I could retrieve my car. I pulled out my Credit Card to pay Mr. Hardaway for his services, and then He stated he wanted CASH ONLY! Never in any of Conversations we had, did he EVER state that he ONLY excepts Cash! Had he stated that, I would have brought Cash with me, Not to mention he has a Credit Card Machine, and when asked why he can't just take my Credit Card Payment, he stated it cost too much! With that same Breath, he said to me, that I could go and get a Cash Advance on my AMEX, Really! Now, it's ok for me, the Customer to pay Extra to get Cash off my Credit Card, so that Mr. Hardaway, a Lucrative Business Man won't get Charged to use his Business Credit Card Machine! And to Add insult to injury he treated me like I was going to STEAL my own car. He asked a gentleman who came by to see him, whom he referred to as a Sheriff, to stay while I was there. I am Not here to take Business from Mr. Hardaway, That is Not in My Character, however I Will Never Do Business with Mr. Hardaway again. I Do Not Feel he had My Best Interest at Heart. He is a Nice man however Business is Business and Personal is personal. You are running a Business, and if you are Not Willing to Use your Credit Card Machine, or you just can Not Afford to use Credit Cards, and Prefer that your Customers Pay you Cash ONLY, Please have it POSTED in your Establishment as well as Verbally Let your Public know! I Pray that you will understand that you are to Treat Others as you Want to be Treated. You did Not want to be charged Extra for using your Credit Card Machine, however you had no problem with Me being charged extra to get $1862.11 off my AMEX to give to you, kind of double standard don't you think. Yes, I had to have my husband bring me $1860 CASH, I had $2.11 in change, so Mr. Hardaway would Not get charged for using his CC Machine.

Really nice man, does thorough work, doesn't try to beat your head in on prices, does a lot for his community. Would recommend him to anybody.
