I am so thrilled with this place for their hot plate menu selections. The food has that "from scratch taste." Serving sizes are fair. Everything is soooo good. The cook/server [Tiffany] makes you feel welcome and like family. The store/restaurant is very clean and well stocked. They have a vast array of prepared items on the food bar. I travel across town for their meals. Love it, love it, love it!!!!!

Soul food??? This is the place. Come early to be the first on lane. Be ready to wait for 20, 30 minutes or more. Always crowded. For me and my man is a must for Sundays.

I'm not a fan of this place, but I'm happy the neighborhood has a place where they can go shop. The only thing I wish is that they would have a better selection of healthier food. Gary's should ask the neighborhood what type of food selection they would like to eat also instead of cooking unhealthy options all the time.

Food not all that just can goods with bacon and other meat in it but they do give your money worth but they are slow because too many women work there and all they do is cuss each other in front of customers or horse playing too much .I don't like nobody talking over my food when they are fixing my plate but it seems like it's the normal there.

I LOVE going to Gary's to pick up a plate or two. I was recommended by a friend to this place. Location wise, I never knew it was there because I never go down there and wouldn't drive through there at night, but for lunch or early dinner pick up DURING THE DAY, that I can do. The service has always been good to me. The ladies are nice. The atmosphere is, well, it's a corner store with a hot food area.....it is what it is. I highly recommend the fried pork chops, greens, yams, dressing, and fried catfish. Anything else I can't call it. Lines are long during lunchtime, so it is best to go between 10:30am and 11am or after 1p. Otherwise, you will be in a long line.
