I was with my brother and his wife when they tried to return a faulty TV at Costco. The entire situation was deeply upsetting and disappointing to witness.
They had spoken to someone the day before who told them to bring the TV in for a return, even knowing it was purchased in January, because the problem was clearly a technical defect. The next day, they brought the TV in, and the employee told them everything was fine except that they had forgotten the remote. So they drove all the way back home, another half hour, to get it. I was with them the whole time.
When we returned, a manager named Josh appeared and shut everything down, coldly stating they wouldn’t take it back because it had been more than 90 days. No apology. No acknowledgment that their own employee had told us something completely different the day before and earlier that same day. No empathy. Just a hard “no.”
We wasted three hours of our day doing what we were told, and for what? To be dismissed, talked down to, and treated as if we were trying to take advantage of the system, when all we were doing was following what the Costco team instructed us to do.
This is not the Costco I know. I left feeling disgusted by the way my family was treated.

I accompanied my husband to Costco to return a TV we had bought in January that started having major issues shortly after purchase. We had spoken to someone at the returns desk the day before, and he had told us very clearly that we could return the TV due to the type of problem it was having, and that we just needed to bring it the next day. We were so relieved to hear that!
We took the time to pack up the TV and drive it to Costco the next morning. The associate at the counter checked everything and told us the only thing missing was the remote, and to just bring that and we’d be good to go. So we drove all the way back to our house to get it.
But when we came back, this time with the remote, a manager named Josh was there. And suddenly everything changed. He told us no, that it had been more than 90 days, and he would not process the return. We explained everything that had happened, how we had been told explicitly that we could return it, and how we had already driven back and forth because of what they told us. He didn’t care. He didn’t even apologize. He was cold and dismissive.
It felt like our time didn’t matter, our effort didn’t matter, and most of all, that we were being punished for trusting what Costco employees had told us. This was a truly frustrating and hurtful experience.

I've been shopping at the Costco on Germantown Rd in Cordova for a while now and overall, it's a great location with a clean, well-organized layout and friendly staff. One thing I really appreciate is that they carry a decent selection of halal products — from halal beef and chicken to lamb and even a few frozen items. It’s reassuring to see more stores catering to diverse dietary needs.
That said, when comparing a wide array of products offered at Sam’s Club, Costco does fall a bit short in variety. Sam’s tends to offer a wider range of products, while Costco seems to stick to a more limited, basic set. Still, the quality at Costco is always top-notch, and their bulk sizes make stocking up convenient.
If you're looking for good quality halal meat in Cordova and are already a Costco member, this location is worth checking out. Just wish they’d expand their selection a bit more like Sam’s Club has.

Clean and staff was friendly and prompt. Always nice to see different offerings. The term treasure hunt is always part of the experience.
Would like to see more registers to be added for self checkout as lines going half way thru the store is silly. Also need to add hand scanners to help move faster. If someome messes around they will carch it at the out door.
Overall always a good adventure.
Mid-afternoon seems to be the lightest traffic.
Good sales are always worth a look. I like death star * shopping. Not many ☆s this week.

Super clean store. The employees seem genuinely happy to be at work. Bathroom was clean also. Costco always my place to shop...state to state.
