“This is the University of Memphis Bookstore. The closest free parking will be street parking on Walker Avenue. You can also pay for parking in the Zach Curlin Parking Lot which is almost next to it.In addition to having course books as well as lots of school supplies, they also have a nice assortment of non-academic books, University of Memphis swag, and a full Starbucks next to it. It isn't as nice as Novel (I don't think anything in Memphis is), but if you are in the neighborhood it is worth a stop. Friendly and helpful U of Memphis students work here!”

“I have been going here since they were out near Bartlett, on Whitten. I am a HUGE fan. My personal favorite stylist is Erica, who is also a friend. However, if she were unavailable or out- i wouldn't hesitate to go to any of the ladies there. Their environment is super chill, the stylists are very friendly and make it feel like home. Very reasonable pricing and the owner, Kara, is absolutely the sweetest. If you are looking for a new salon in the midtown area, i urge you to try Laveau. They are guaranteed to have someone who can get you the result you are looking for. Short styles, long styles, crazy and toned down colors, men and women and all that's in-between. Also also; i love that they have an annual fundraiser called "Lafleu" that helps them collect feminine hygiene products to donate for homeless and disadvantaged women who would otherwise not have access:)”
