Its not interactive enough to engage people. There should be photo op. And rock band there on the blues music. Blues hall of fame deserve a better museum to preserve the its history. Im assuming its great when you know all about blues but if you want to discover its not interesting enough in my taste

My future wife and I visited on the wim of a discount voucher from our hotel, but i would pay full price for this tour/experience anytime. The Gentlemen here were very welcoming, informative, and gave great energy about the experience of "The Blues". Great collection of artifacts, quotes, music, and just an overall embodiment of all the history and golden nuggets of knowledge of the past that you just don't want to ever lose. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

Very accessible museum filled with blues history from the very beginning. Very interesting to see actual clothing, hats, instruments played by these talented musicians.

Enjoyed the exhibits and being able to hear music from Robert Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf and so many others. The list of yearly inductees into the Blues Hall of Fame was interesting also.

Just after the visit of the Civil Rights Museum, only one block away I went into this Hall of Fame. Very detailed informations on all the inducted individuals.

Beautiful space. Stories well organized and told. Opportunity to search and listen to music in rooms.

Super disappointed. A complete joke. I’m not even sure what they’re trying to accomplish here except to give you the blues when you quickly realize you just wasted $10. This is a sad grab for money. Save your money and go to the civil rights museum across the street. It’s much more powerful and much more important.

The Blues Hall of Fame Museum is a half mile up Main Street from Beale Street. Take the trolley ($2 day pass) or walk. Operated by the Blues Foundation, it is full of excellent Blues exhibits on the lower level, interactive music listening capabilities for savoring Blues history. There is a rotating photo exhibit with gift shop on the street level. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Sales support the mission of the Blues Foundation, which supports musicians and operates an annual Hall of Fame induction which serves the purpose of telling the Originating history of the Blues. While a smaller museum, this is a must-see for any lover of music. A local college music class was there during our visit.
The Blues HOF Museum is across the Street from the National Civil Rights Museum, at the site of the preserved Lorraine Motel, where MLK was assasinated. The visitor should plan to visit both museums on the same day for an incredible day. There are lunch spots on the street.

The place is very new looking. It is full of memorabilia. The staff was friendly. Just be aware that this is a small place.

Super small, I only spent about half an hour here, but it's worth a stop! It's just right up the hill from the Civil Rights museum, so easy enough to go up and add this to your day. Also near a lot of restaurants. There are a few well displayed exhibits about the blues, as well as some artifacts. My favorite part was the listening booths and interactive music boards, where you can explore a huge catalog of blues artists. You could spend a lot more time here if interested.I had the whole museum to myself, and the staff was very nice. They also had a photography exhibit on the ground floor. Some say this museum is too small to warrant a stop. I say it's the perfect add on or respite between bigger stops on your Memphis itinerary. It accompanies the civil rights museum, the museum of rock n soul, and the Stax museum well.

This is the essential stop in Memphis because after all if you want to appreciate the blues, you need to appreciate the history of why it is people would have the bluesBring tissues or something because you will cryThis is important to understand the civil rights struggle is not finished there’s a long way to go yetI think Google screwed this one up because this is the National Civil Rights Museum, not the Blues Hall of Fame (which is nearby) but the civil rights museum at the Lorraine Hotel, where Dr. King was shot
