I have never written an online review for a business- but I had to change that in order to give Barks and Recreation 5 stars. I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog Bear with them. They are lovely, accommodating people. We have boarded, groomed and done daycare with them several times and it has been a completely wonderful experience each time. They go above and beyond, listen to any concerns or questions you have about your dog, and have met every single request I’ve made of them- whether it is specialty food, applying eye drops, etc. I have never once felt dismissed or ignored or that the people there are fed up with animals- and that’s unusual amongst boarding facilities in my experience. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have peace of mind that the people caring for your animal love your dog as much as you do.To give an example- once my dog was not feeling up to eating and someone sat with him and hand fed him his food. That’s the kind of people at this establishment. They take initiative to care for your animal. Absolutely wonderful staff and we will continue to go to Barks for all our boarding, daycare and grooming in the future.

This is the best place in town to leave your dog. My dog pulls me to the front door because she loves it here. I could not be happier with this place.

They do an incredible job with our puppy, and we know that because our dog now zooms out of the car and runs straight inside when we get there ever since our first boarding. Couldn't care less that we're about to leave. We've left him there for a few nights as well as up to 10 nights at a time. Whenever we called, they were always available to chat and seemed excited to let us know how he is doing (despite how annoying that probably is for them). If they were unavailable at the moment, they called back quickly. I highly recommend Barks and Recreation.

Had to board our 2 babies while I was out of town and they ended up having a scuffle and needed to be separated. The staff not only called to inform me, kept the would clean, but they have continued to follow up on how the healing has been. They sent pictures when I requested them and I trust them with our girls.

The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. They truly love their jobs and it shows in pets faces. I highly recommend Barks. If your dog could speak, he'd say Barks!!!!

It was our puppy's first doggy day care experience. We had taken another dog there in the past. It was a great adventure again. They really care about their furry customers!

This is the most expensive daycare in ton and it is just not worth it. The dogs only get 20 minutes of playtime per day. That's it. If you leave your dog here for 8 hours, they only get 20 mins of play. Most just sleep all day. Do not pay this money to have someone watch your dog sleep in a rusted kennel all day. Good daycare for old dogs or dog aggressive dogs, but not for active, social dogs.

It's only the best for the pups that stay there. They are eager to come back. The staff is the best, only have your pup's best interest. Day care or boarding, they are second to nobody..

We have tried multiple doggy daycare‘s, over the past six years, however Barks and Recreation is like no other doggie daycare. We first discovered them in 2016. The employees truly care about the doggies and form close knit bonds with them. They have a limit as to how many doggies they will allow. This ensures that each dog is given lots of individual attention and playtime.? A huge plus is that Barks is staffed, 24/7. There’s always an employee there at night, who checks on the doggies! You can’t beat that!!The customer service is amazing. They are like family to us.

Right beside cadillacofmemphis.com. I would fully trust these people with my pet. I see them taking excellent care of the animals daily.
