For a three star review you gotta know there were issues. $40.99 Seafood platter was over cooked and bland...the only seafood worth it was the Catfish bites they were tender and tasty...sadly not enough of them to make the rest of the platter memorable.Service was good and the restrooms were very clean. The band Diversity was great. Their lead guitar was truly gifted.Sadly we won't be back.

We were staying at Memphis on our way back home and visited this place. My wife and I had a lot of fun listening to the music and eating here. And Paul was absolutely fantastic. We got some sausage and wings with fries for appetizer and it was great. The sausage was just unlike any sausage I have had before, so I'd suggest getting that if you can. It's not on the menu, but you can just ask for an order. The wings were amazing too, although we liked the buffalo a bit better than the dry rub. And then the main course, the ribs, were amazing, and so were the sides. The bands that played were great as well and really added to our enjoyment of the food. If you want to have fun and have nice food and drinks, definitely check this place out. The $10 cover is worth it.

Went here and was able to walk in on a slow night. There was a $20 cover charge for the bands playing. It was a great atmosphere with live blues. The food was great! The restaurant was nearly full and the prices weren't bad at all!

So, I stopped in for lunch b/c the valet at my hotel told me these were the ribs I wanted while in Memphis. And they were darn good ribs. But there are a few things to note. When you go for lunch (or any time before the evening performances start), it has a very different vibe. The restaurant was super dead, it was eerily quiet, and service was slow. Now, all of this being said, I came for some darn good ribs and had some darn good ribs. In fact, everything I ate was great. The food was easily the highlight of my visit and everything else was tolerable. I've never been at night while they are performing. But if I had to guess, it's going to be a very different atmosphere and feel. I would be interested in coming back at night and seeing the joint in full swing. My advice is, if you're coming in early, make sure you're coming for the food and only the food. B/c there isn't much else going on.

Stopped by Memphis on a road trip, went to Beale street to tourist around and hunger fell upon my group. We ended up in BB Kings blues club where the ambiance was live music, people dancing, and food & drinks pouring. We had to pay a cover to get in, we were seated almost immediately on the 2nd floor. Ordered their local IPA and other drinks (they were ok not great), and then came the food. Please do yourself a favor and order the RIBs and order the entire rack! Delicious! Everything else was meh, but non the less try it for yourself.

We went to grab a late lunch. We sat at the bar then a woman approached us saying there is a cover charge of $10 each. Cover charge? It was 4 pm...I don't care you had a band. Every bar in Nashville had an amazing band. I never paid a cover charge to go eat mid-day. This is just a way for the restaurant to make extra money just because they think they can. We walked out so I have no idea how is the food there but definitely not paying a cover charge to go eat anywhere during the day.

It always an amazing time here, every single time I come to Memphis, TN! I always have to come to BB Kings Blues club! I was here on a Saturday night and Monday lunch! And both days were amazing and with outstanding service and live bands! If you do not do anything else in Memphis, please make it to a day down at this Blues Club and make sure you order the fried cat fish or the gator bites! They are too die for!Thank you always for an amazing time & memories BB's!

Arrived early, 5PM, to listen to a very talented blues/soul cover band. Sat upstairs in balcony with table view directly down on stage. There was a $10 per person cover charge, whether you were dining or not. Hesitant initially to spend on cover charge, but after two hours of great music and better than average Dinner, was glad we did. By 6pm they were jammed (on an off-season Thursday night)Food was standard Memphis staples. My wife had short rack of BBQ ribs with beans & coleslaw. I ordered the popcorn shrimp po boy with a side of Mac & cheese. Ribs were excellent, but just a hair on the dry side. Highlight of my meal was the creamy Mac & cheese.I wouldn't go there solely for the food, but music was excellent. Service was little spotty, but like everyplace these days, there were short handed. Ambience was exactly what you would expect from a blues club. Word of wisdom, skip the signature cocktails and order a beer from an extensive list. Wine is low end but plentiful pours.

Stopped in for a bite to eat and for some music. We had to pay $10 each cover charge. The band was really fine and we enjoyed listening. I ordered bbq ribs, falling off the bone yummy. Very good beans and slaw. The shrimp po'boy ( I was told) was good as well , but I wouldn't have ordered it. I'd go back again. It was fun.

The music was the highlight of this meal! There was a $10 cover charge per person for the live music which was WELL worth it because the performance was fantastic (Ashton Riker & The Memphis Royals). But, the food and service left a lot to be desired. We were seated in the top section and the tables were crammed so close together that servers were reaching over tables to pass drinks to customers. We ran out of water several times and struggled to get our server's attention to get more. But, the food did come out quickly and the portions were a great size!Gumbo Yaya (7/10) - This was a good gumbo! I've had some that are too thin or too thick but this was the perfect consistency. The flavor was good but it didn't knock my socks off or anything.Born on the Bayou Shrimp and Grits (6/10) - The portion was MASSIVE which was good to see for the price. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and I loved the okra and tomatoes! But, there was way too much broth for my preference. The grits were fine but seemed like an afterthought... especially considering you had to go fishing for them in the broth.Southern Fried Platter with Catfish (5/10) - This dish was very mediocre. The catfish did taste fresh but the cornmeal breading had little flavor and immediately fell off the catfish as you picked it up. The fries were fries... they were good but nothing special. The hushpuppies were tasty as were the sauces but the coleslaw was pretty soggy.

The first place I ate in Memphis was B.B. King’s. The best shrimp po boy I’ve ever eaten. Then I had the pulled pork sandwich with B.B. Kings signature sauce and I about melted in my seat. That was the best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Of course my wife and I bought a lot of merch along with some bottles of sauce.

I’ve been here many times and it’s a great place. Great stuff to buy. You can get the sauce and rub. Highly recommended
