This was my second time renting from this location and once again it was a great experience! Check-in was a breeze and they had the van cleaned and ready to go. So many times at other agencies, you'll arrive and they tell you they don't actually have the specific car you rented. We needed a minivan to fit everyone for our trip, and we got exactly that - and a brand new one at that with only 5K miles on it. I would definitely rent from this location again.

Excellent service! Our flight into Memphis was very delayed. However, because we entered our flight information, three employees stayed until 3:00 am to make sure we got our car! They normally close at 12:30 am. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!

First issue was an SUV that Clearly had not been serviced and fluids were not topped off because I had to stop in the middle of nowhere to purchase wiper fluid that I was never reimbursed for. Rented a minivan w/26k miles on it 2 weeks ago that the suspension system needed to be serviced along with an oil change because the alert kept coming on whenever I start at the vehicle. I emailed Alamo during the rental and have yet to hear anything about it. I told the guy about the suspension when I brought it back and he said it was overdue for service. It shouldn’t have been available for rental. The employees onsite however, are extremely friendly and professional!

Their phone customer service is actually decent. I called several rental agencies in Memphis before Alamo, and none picked up their phones. To finally get a human is a breath of fresh air.

I reserved a full-size SUV to be picked up at the Memphis International Airport via their "Skip the Counter" process. All employees I dealt with were rude and curt. The vehicle smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and I was denied another rental as "there weren't anymore". When checking out, the attendant didn't list all of the imperfections I told him about in the final paperwork. (two dents, cigarette burns, cigarette smell) I wish I could say this was a one off happening at the Memphis International Airport Alamo location but in reading some of the other comments it seems like this is the culture at this location. Alamo upper management should take a look at the pattern for this location. I will never rent here again.

Our flight was delayed and didn’t land until 2:00am. Even though this location was scheduled to close at 1:00am, they were still opened when we arrived. And, when it was difficult to find the type of vehicle that had rented, they gave me an upgrade for no additional cost.

Disappointed with Alamo.
1) Getting the car in Memphis was difficult. The Alamo booth was not staffed inside the airport. We wandered to the outside kiosk only to find it also is unstaffed. In our search an employee was asked, she was kind, told us we needed to go to the National booth… Then she was kind enough to look at our paperwork and showed us a car we could have. Great!
Then at final checkout we were lectured, yes lectured, by the clerk. Telling us we did it all wrong and should have gone to the National booth. She talked down to us, trying to make me feel stupid.
I have rented hundreds of cars in many states and several countries. This was a new experience.
The car was okay, having 26,000 miles on it, but it pulled. Tire inflation was very high, 60 psi, on one tire and low on another tire. Once I fixed that, the car drove fine.
I needed the windshield wipers and found to fluid was empty. This shows very poor maintenance. I stopped at an auto parts store and filled the fluid.
I am sure these issues are not unique with Alamo, but damn, it shows a systematic failure of management.

Great experience. Super efficient. Very polite best rental car agency in the airport by far and I have used a few. 10/10 will be my new go to.
