My primary concern was the huge amount of white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. After speaking on the phone, I brought in my '94 Miata. My son and I again discussed the copious amount of white smoke. I told him people have told us it could be due to the head gasket. My son had gone ahead and bought a head gasket. We gave it to Mr Mitchell to use it IF the current head gasket was the problem. Long story short, he did fix some little things. However, the car still smokes a lot. He replaced the head gasket knowing it was NOT going to fix the problem. While picking up the car, he said he didn't know why we had him change the head gasket. That wasn't going to fix it. He told us to put in "Restore" to help with the smoke. My son called him several days later. The miata still smokes a lot, It's not driveable. Since picking it up, the engine light is on and has a screeching noise, most likely a belt. Mr Mitchell admitted that he did no diagnostics on the car and only replaced the head gasket because we told him to. What kind of mechanic performs a job just because the customer told him to?? which we didn't. $1000 later, I have yard art.

I have used Mitchell's auto a few times. I would recommend him to anyone. He is honest and reasonably priced. Great businessman.

Just dropped my car off at Mitchell's Automotive. If anyone needs auto repairs, I highly recommend them! They charge about half what all the other places do, and do it faster than most.

This guy charged $400 to tow a car 1.5 miles back to his place. That's with me picking the car up from his trashy junkyard. On top of that they dropped it and busted the front bumper.
