“I have been using this Post Office for years - I even have a box there. I ship a lot of Ebay stuff, not using the Ebay labels but using regular USPS shipping. Although this particular location is sometimes short on staff with usually only one station open (and sometimes they have to close at lunchtime, which is inconvenient), I have found everyone there friendly and helpful. I suspect that most of the people that complain about rudeness come in with their own bad attitude, because I'm always polite and respectful to the staff and they are always friendly and polite to me. Most of the delays I experience while standing in line are because of people that do not understand that you should come to the post office prepared - they come in with an item to ship: no mailer or box, no tape, nothing to write with, etc. I have seen other problems, like undelivered mail, change of address, etc. - and the staff have always tried to resolve the problem for the customer in a professional and courteous manner, even when the person with the problem can't even clearly DESCRIBE what their problem is. I have had 2 or 3 delivery or shipping issues over the years and the staff have always resolved every issue to my satisfaction with action or information. These people work hard and they are at the mercy of any jerk or know-nothing that walks through the door, so cut them some slack. You get what you give: come prepared and demonstrate the proper respectful attitude to the staff and you will walk out satisfied with the service these people provide.”

“Hands down the most amazing post office and their employees! Ken has helped me a few times this week as I struggled to bring in a bunch of boxes. He came to me and offered help which I accepted. He then took my boxes and carried them for me. I had just left the hospital so his help was a big deal to me. Sometimes people do things and don’t realize the impact they have on someone’s life so I just want to take the time to say thank you. He touched my life and want people to know.”

“I had the friendliest associate (clerk 35 on my receipt) assist me with a money order and mailing a passport renewal. She’s probably the nicest person that I’ve ever met working at a post office. You can tell she enjoyed her job and took pride in assisting the public. Thank you so much for your help!”

“I like this post office because I can scan my own packages on their self service machine. This is a good feature if you are mass selling on retail platforms.

Also, Mary is absolutely lovely. She always has a smile on her face and is a wonderful customer service representative. If you leave the post office in a bad mood after interacting with her, you should do an inventory of what you have going on in your life, no joke.”

“A beautiful piece of Old Hickory Village history that still exists and is running. Walking inside is like entering a time machine. The wood and brass—it’s lovely. Yes, on some days it would be nice to have more than one window open, but I’ve been going there for twenty years and the most time I’ve ever had to wait is ten minutes. I remembering Nashville waiting up to 45-60 minutes—especially before Amazon, UPS and Fedx existed. We were all at the mercy of postal workers working at the counters, some of whom—well, that was a different time. This post office feels stress—free and pleasant. Staff is very attentive. No egos behind the counter. Friendly to everyone who comes in. That’s been my experience. Anyone coming into the village for the first time should definitely make a short visit inside.”

“This is one of the smaller USPS locations in Nashville. This Christmas I was running behind on shopping and one Saturday I rushed to get a Card to my loved ones before it closed. Upon arrival I realized the holiday rush had already hit. I was in a hurry, and had an Uber waiting on me, so I tried the self-service kiosk, but it was out of order. I started to walk for the door, thinking I'd just have to do it the following Monday morning. Before leaving, I heard a voice behind me. "Is it not working?" And there was a sweet woman there with a stack of Christmas cards ready to mail out.I explained it wasn't, and with the line being so long I'd have to come back as I forgot my stamps at home. The woman kindly offered me the last of her four stamps so I could mail out the card, and it arrived before Christmas! I am so excited that there are genuinely sweet people like this out there in the world, and that I meet them at the US Post Office.”

“After reading the reviews, especially lots negative reviews, I really appreciate the informative parts. However, as a federal facility, there is very limited efforts for staffs to change any of those situations, especially passport issues. I witnessed today from 7:30-8:30 that the staff had to repeatedly explain to people who were not happy or had attitude to her. She had her the best patience and tried her best to be professional and respectful. Unfortunately, some customers were angry about the limit service about passports with attitude or verbally being rude. I can totally understand if she has attitude too. Fortunately, she didn’t lose her calmness and actually help people to make an appointment on ‘self-service’ system. We need to give her applauses and be nice and more understanding. Yes, I was there 4:30am this morning. Pancake pantry’s breakfast was a reward to myself. lol”

“My preferred most office. The lines are long but it’s because the staff actually try to help and take time to work with the customers. They don’t just yell at you, or get irritated. They are really kind and nice people.”

“It's a local post office. Nothing great, nothing bad, other than the slightly tight parking spaces right off a busy road. Backing out into traffic is sometimes a little difficult. Friendly and helpful staff makes it easy to go to.”

“First time visit. Not sure what to expect due to the posted reviews. Comparing my past USPS visits across the country, this was a good experience. There were a few customers in front of me but the line moved quickly...around 4 pm. There was only one USPS clerk at the front desk but I found her friendly and customer focused.”

“I’ve visited this post office twice since moving to Nashville and I’ve had a great experience both times. The clerks are very friendly and helpful, especially for someone like me who doesn’t mail things very often and needs a little bit of guidance!”

“I came in to grab my keys for a new po box, and just happened to walk in as half of Nashville decided to also stop by.. The lobby got super crowded really quickly, and the only worker there at the moment named Mark handled it all super professionally. He was helping 2 &/or 3 customers at a time, dealing with people's mistakes and helping people correct issues with their orders all with a super positive and friendly attitude. I was blown away by how good he was at his job, but also just how great his attitude was during a highly stressful and annoying situation. This man deserves a promotion/raise, he's a crusher”

“Shoutout to Lovie, Javon, and another clerk (whos name i unfortunately did not get) for helping locate my package. I was hurriedly going out of town and needed to have it before I left. They were all incredibly helpful and worked together to help me out. Could not have asked for better service with USPS !!”

“Amber helped me with my passport. She was very pleasant and the whole process took less than 15 minutes. There was an elderly couple in front of me also getting their passports and the staff were very patient. I felt guilty holding up the line, but someone came to assist the person behind me so i didnt feel rushed. Would most definitely recommend this location. Remember to get an appointment first!”
