“We were in town for Wicked, and being bookies ( bibliophile's sounds like we need an antibiotic) we ventured to check out The Bookstore. I can't say enough about this shop. First off, our herd has two electric chairs. Although the shop appears small at first glance, there was plenty of room to move in the aisles.Maybe.. the space was visited by a time lord? Second, it's obvious a book lover lives there. I'll say it: I've been to small, independent book stores where it's obvious " this is not my kinda place, I'm not going to find anything and it's all over priced" , not here! There's Everything!! TJ Klune, Stephen & Owen King, naturalist books, a huge selection of cookbooks. Latest fiction and classics. Tikertock/booktock books and best of all.. books I've not heard of before! Queer inclusive stickers, and just... it was great! We were there an hour and it wasn't long enough. O. And prices are competitive with the market. We're coming back to Nashville in March and already have The Bookstore on the docket. As in, skipping in BAM and coming to the Bookstore.”

We are on a very limited income and having a place that we can buy great hard back book in excellent condition for a price we can afford is a blessing!The book store is inside a antique mall, also with many booths and very good prices.we totally enjoyed our time there and especially the books we now proudly own!”

“If you love books and especially old books, this is THE place to go! I live in Texas and had stopped by Mr Elders’ store while visiting some friends in Nashville. Wow! This was an amazing place! I was specifically looking for some books to help my mom with her genealogy search for our family in TN. He was very helpful and just a wealth of knowledge! I could have talked with him for hours! He truly knows his books! He was able to help me find several books that included my family. One of them even included several pictures of my grandfather and several other folks in our family! I highly recommend stopping by this place. However, be sure to allow PLENTY OF TIME for your visit, as their is SO MUCH to enjoy!! Thank you Mr Elder for an awesome time. “Wide selection of apparel. I didn't get a chance to look at the books but the Vanderbilt apparel and souvenirs were abundant. The only negative comment is that there is no fitting room to try on the clothing to see if it fits. I bought a L size Nike tee shirt and it was too small so I had to bring it back to get the next size larger.”

“Had an old Bible refinished with new leather cover. It was my Mothers Bible. It came back like new. All of her underlining and information in ref to births,deaths. Military service etc were preserved. This Bible was over 100 years old. Very pleased.”
