The video is a little blurry and you can get a very similar story told for free at the NPS exhibit next door. The 3d diarama part was neat, but probably not worth the price of admission

For a small obscure location, this place is a gem. Tons of historic artifacts and information. Definitely worth stopping by.

Neat experience, rich history, beautiful little park, knowledgeable and friendly staff, clean bathrooms. Upon today's visit, we watched the show in the museum "Battles for Chattanooga". I enjoyed it more than I expected and was intrigued at the use of movie screens and 3D topographical map with special lighting displays. Very neat idea. The guy in the museum, Phillip, was professional and upbeat with a great demeanor and an element of fun to his interactions.

The gift shop is nice, but the museum was not what we thought it would be. Please do not waste your $$ on the Battles for Chattanooga film. The website does not correctly represent its “perks”. It’s a very old film that we truly would not recommend spending any $$ on. We wished we hadn’t spent what we did to see it.

Great reboot of childhood Confederama. Light show upgrade is well done compared to old. Pretty quick and simple visit, but highly recommend to get an idea of the history of the region.

Need a basic or detailed understanding of how the Chattanooga battles progressed? This is where to go first. This museum and panoramic light display lays it all out in less than an hour. Start here, then head out to all the other historic sites

On a week long trip throughout Tennessee, this happened to be one of the highlights. My boyfriend and I came on a Sunday morning and were one of the only visitors here but thoroughly enjoyed the privacy. Point Park was amazing and absolutely worth the $10 entry fee; the views and park path down to a hidden museum on the side of the mountain are simply spectacular and offer great photo opportunities! The museum up at the top before the park entrance is also pretty neat, and offers visitors a chance to see the famous $20,000 painting from 1874 of the Civil War as well as a 30-minute video presentation. Absolutely a must see when traveling through Chattanooga.

I thought this was really Interesting, but I'm kind of a history nut. But even if you aren, it's absolutely beautiful. It's a small peak on the mountain with a trails describing what it would have looked like during the war. Plaques along the trail give details about what happened at the location with a trail leading to a lockout point with more history about the conflict. Even has some cannon locations with description of what they would be firing on! This is a must see. Just being in the presence of where these brave men fought is astonishing!

The electric map and panoramic story was very informative and gave you a perspective as to where the battles were happening. We go to the parks and all but it's hard to put it into perspective so this helped. Then they have a teeny, tiny museum that has some interesting artifacts that were neat to look at as well. Note: if you're riding the incline railway, it is cheaper to get the panoramic map tickets from them instead of the museum itself.

We got there late in the day, almost at closing time so we didn't see the movie/diorama display. We did see some of the other displays which we very good and informative. The gift shop was well equipped. The NPS office next door was closed due to Corona.
