I have had my Andy, an apricot standard poodle, for 3 weeks now. This little guy is precious. He is healthy, so smart, very social and just a joy! At 12 weeks he is practically potty trained. Darcy was very easy to work with. When I picked Andy up, I left with well kept records and great information to help raise a new puppy. I highly recommend Mount Bethel Poodles.

We picked up Lucy (Orange girl) a red standard poodle in November. I really like this breeder for many reasons. Laurie was very knowledgeable. She did temperament testing and I could see the results when I saw the dogs in person. Dogs are kept in a normal house and get plenty of yardtime. We received a pedigree chart with 5 generations of dogs. We can see that they took care to cross their reds with black colors to improve the stock. Lucy is warm, great with kids, very lively and healthy, and super eager to train. She came practically housetrained and crate trained. I can count the number of accidents she's had in her life on my fingers. She doesn't chew anything in the house except her toys relaxes when we are too busy and runs like a greyhound when it's time to play. She was desensitized to grooming and fireworks. We got complements from her groomer the first time she went. We needed a special dog and we hope to train her for our autistic son. She has been worth every penny.

I received my boy at 8 months of age, and he has beautiful body composition and a gorgeous coat with really nice texture. He’s a goofy boy with a great personality, but I am disappointed with their lack of training and socializing of him considering I didn’t confirm purchase until he was 7 months of age. I was told he was accustomed to grooming and was a little shy for his feet and shy overall, but not terribly as my reason for purchasing him was to take him to grooming competition. He was definitely introduced to grooming but he freaks out when you try to do clean feet or blow dry anywhere near his front legs or chest. He is terrified of most things except for children, to the point he’s almost pulled me over trying to run from bikers and joggers. Everything from cars on the road to sticks on the sidewalk have spooked him. I just now, after two months, have gotten him comfortable after doing training every day in public spaces. He was not potty trained and it took almost two months to get him fully trained, and he’ll still have the occasional accident. They had him for 8 months and didn’t do any training with him. I wasn’t expecting top tier training, but if you have a dog for 7 months before someone purchases him, you should at least be introducing him to basic safety protocols like sit and stay. It wasn’t a bad experience and I love my boy but they really need to work on the socializing and training aspects of their program, especially since he wasn’t cheap at $2,800 for a 7 month old when their puppies go for $3,000 and it’s easier to train puppies instead of retraining a teenager.Edit to respond: I didn’t expect a fully trained poodle, but in your AKC Puppyfinder posting, it states that puppies are raised in homes where initial training has begun, which he definitely did not have any initial training except for grooming

I got my poodle boy Vedder from Mount Bethel poodles. I've had him over a year now, and he is the most wonderful boy ever. He's sweet, smart, energetic, healthy and playful. He loves everyone, plays nicely with my young niece, and he's everything I ever hoped for in a dog!

VERY rude. Basically saying my royal standard was useless because he couldn't be shown.

This is my mom’s business that she started well over 15 years ago. My childhood has wonderful memories getting to play with healthy, active, adorable puppies. My mom dedicates her life to raising incredible litters and I guarantee that her puppies receive the highest standard of treatment and attention. Her poodles grow up to be some of the nicest looking dogs I’ve ever seen, and that’s because they are bred by one of the most passionate and thoughtful breeders in the business. You can tell her background in nursing has helped her establish an exceptional line of standard and mini poodles with thorough testing and smart breeding. My mom has been to hundreds of dog shows, establishing her exquisite line of poodles. She is an active leader in her local kennel club and has coordinated several dog shows for the community. There are few people I know who approach their work with as much heart and care as my mom does. My husband and I eagerly await the day we get to take home one of her beautiful poodles.

I bought one of the Mount Bethel Poodle pups from Craig and Darcy. They're nice folks and were very generous with their time explaining good ways to care for a puppy and growing dog.I was a first time dog owner when I got my girl Nes. I got to see pictures and videos of the puppies online and was very excited see them. My family loves our new dog and it was a great experience.

I personally own one of Mount Bethel Poodles (Darcy’s) dogs and I know for a fact they take extreme care and research into breeding every litter. The time and care they put into their puppies should be evidence enough of the type of business they run (aka not a puppy mill). They were very open with me when it came to the health of my puppy before I got him and did not hide anything from me about him, which I know many other breeders would have done. Her poodles are the most stunning dogs I’ve ever seen and I cannot even begin to count the amount of compliments my dog receives daily. She does extensive health and temperament testing on all of her dogs which is why I decided to do business with her. When I showed my vet all the papers she sent me home with, he was beyond impressed, he said he’d never seen a breeder be this thorough. I will 100% be buying another dog from them when the time is right.

This is the nightmare puppy mill that everyone warns you about! We paid $2200 for a puppy that was sick with Parvovirus when we got her. She died 5 days later despite the thousands of dollars in vet bills we spent trying to save her. All because they were too f-ing cheap to vaccinate their puppies. All of her litter mates and another litter died too. But we were the only ones out all our money. Not quite all, we got $1000 from them and they actually sued us to get $800 of that back. Stay away from these people - they are the worst kind of evil!
