This old country store is always a great place to grab some lunch. I've heard the biscuits are amazing also. The ladies who work here are very friendly and accommodating. Be sure to grab some banana bread on your way out.Glad to see this store still here when most of these type of country stores in the area are going away.

Oh my goodness... this is such a cute spot!! I wanted to try something different for my birthday lunch so we stopped by here. Everybody that worked there was super nice, you go up to the counter to order and then they bring you your food. Everything that we had was super yummy, especially the tater tot's, french fries, onion rings, burgers and yummy southern sweet tea! They have some cool historical signage up on the wall in the dining room that talks about their building being the original school house in the area in the 30s. It is so neat that they have been able to restore it to a cute little store that has dining in space. There are tons of homemade goodies to enjoy after lunch, including jams, honey, sauces. I highly recommend the Berlin store on your next day out exploring!

The food is prepared like a southern grandmother would prepare it. All ladies in the house. This is a great old-fashioned country store. I bought some of their canned goods and the hot Chow Chow was excellent. I've heard a lot of good things about the chess pie but haven't tried that yet. The catfish plate with the hush puppies, white beans, potato salad, and sweet tea were delicious. My wife enjoys their fried okra. It is one of our new local favorite spots to go.

Heard about this greasy spoon from Johnson. Had to give it a go.I'd close at two too if my food was so good that I could afford the rest of the day off by lunch.;) Good stuff.

Service is top notch! The is a locally owned place and everyone that works here is so sweet! We just love Karen and all her home-made goodies! Her pies are the best! They have a awesome breakfast and lunch menu! We always get her home-made sweet tea also! If you haven't been you gotta go! There aren't many places like this around anymore! Those pies sell out fast especially around the holidays!!
