Not a customer friendly place. Very unprofessional. The rental agreement you sign, you are bound to, take this into consideration. Make sure you pay with cash and get a receipt for monthly payments made making sure to have Store Smart Self Storage on the receipt.

Avoid StoreSmart locations in Lebanon and Cookeville. Owner Jonathan McNabb with V3 Realty Partners, lied to BBB regarding a complaint I filed regarding damage caused by their malfunctioning gate. The security gate was standing open when I arrived at storage facility. The gate is supposed to be closed and secure. I entered the gate code to make sure would stand open. As drove through, gate closed on camper, bounced open, and never closed. Significant damage caused to camper. McNabb and facility refuses to fix the issue, blames me for his faulty gate, and refused to respond to my emails or phone calls.

I've had a unit here for several months and haven't had any problems. The advantage to this facility is you'll have after hours access. Which I think is great because you don't have to rush over there to your unit before they clise to get things done. Owners are very polite and helpful

The storage place is very nice as well as employees but the uhaul is horrible i rented one for a move intown and it drove horrible and bounced the entire time it was moving and when i spoke with uhaul about the issue the said its normal so i feel sorry for someone moving out of state

I called and spoke with Chris, one of my Techs at my shop had a family emergency come up & needed to rent a Tow Dolly immediately to help his son down in Georgia. As my Tech went to go pick up the Dolly, the Dolly was being rented out to another customer, but Chris was able to help my employee with a Flat Bed Trailer instead of a dolly. My tech is extremely thankful for Chris going above and beyond to take care of his needs, and requested that I personally write the review for him. Chris, thank you for being an outstanding employee and doing the right thing for Hugo.

Would be nice if you were allowed in after hour so I could get to my belongings. I'm renting a 10×10 for $110 per month and the first money was free. Coming up on the 3rd month and I paid the 2nd month which I shouldn't owe anything but they are saying I owe$420 for 2 months with the first month free. I'm locked out and can't get to my stuff. If you want ripped off come here.

I recently rented a 6x12 trailer for 3 days. The trailer didn’t fit my needs so I dropped it off same day and the same location (smart self storage). The gentleman said the trailer will be checked in and I would be receiving an email receipt which never happened. I called back the same day and he said he would get it. I received a receipt from UHAUL 4 days later with additional charges ($100) for 3 extra days of use. Beware of this location and if it were me I would definitely seek another business. If you need a Moving truck/trailer seek other options beyond UHAUL. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Wish I could give no stars, this company isn’t even worth 1 star.

This is probably my 20th time using uhaul so this review mainly speaks only to this dealer. The owner manager of this place equates you keeping your rental for another day due to unforeseen consequences as a criminal act. He will tell you this. He is so tired of uhaul customers that don’t honor their contract by needing another day on the rental.. you know normal uhaul stuff. He literally told me on the phone that if the auto trailer wasn’t back in the morning he would report it stolen. Even tho he had successfully charged me 800 dollars at this point. He also charged me 1000 dollars for renting a 17 ft truck for 3 days. I’ve already charged back on him and filed a complaint with the fmcsa for predatory charging and pricing schemes. I can’t wait to see his ugly face in court.

This is my second negative review of this place. I came to rent a U-Haul for about four hours. With eight empty parking spots out front, half a dozen empty RV storage spots, and dozens of empty storage buildings I was told that I would need to park at a gas station and Uber to avoid leaving my car parked there. It’s literally always something with this place and it’s never positive.

Worst experience ever don't rent here. Mold all over my stuff from there "climate controlled room" water leaked precious family photos and they won't pro rate. The manager is a mean lady on top of everything

Incompetent management and the owner will over charge you until you have to cancel your debit card. Then he/she will make a lawsuit against you. Don’t bother trying to call after they over charge you because they will not get back to you. I made a agreement with the manager to pay for one extra month because I thought maybe it was a misunderstanding. Well he took that payment then changed me again and when I didn’t pay that the owner put a lawsuit on me.
