My camera can make a dump look decent. With the door open the lighting makes this picture look like a cozy place, but in reality it's not. The carpet is disgusting and full of stains. The lighting is dark and dingy with the door closed. The musky moldy smell is horrible even after trying to clean the filter in the a/c. I honestly think the smell may very well be coming from the carpet like it got wet at some point and not taken care of properly. The humidity in the room was oddly overwhelming. I came here for Baker, but decided I couldn't study here comfortably. I got a partial refund from a lady up front who didn't hardly want to give me one. I went to My Place Hotel right behind Econo lodge and was sooo much happier. Guess I shouldn't have tried to cheap out and go to Econo lodge

When I was almost to the hotel, the money for the room came out of my bank account. That's fine; I already paid. So I thought. I get to the hotel and the lady working there tells me that I haven't paid yet and I need to pay. I showed her that the money had come out of my bank account and she told me that it had not. I was literally showing her my bank account and that the money had come out of it. She tells me if I want to stay, I have to pay. I didn't even have enough left in my bank to pay her again, so I gave her what I had and the 20 that I had in my pocket to give to church the next day so my son and I would have a room to sleep in. We go on up to our room and it wreaks of weed. I called Choice Hotels because I didn't know how to handle this situation of the hotel double charging me. They gave me some points, but it wasn't really their fault anyway. Choice Hotels is great and I've been a member with them since 2018. I decide I will bring this to the attention of the person working in the morning when I check out. During the night, our neighbors were banging all night long on I don't know what (get your mind out of the gutter- it wasn't that). So sleep evaded us. In the morning, my son goes, what's that? Oh. That's just an open electrical outlet with my blanket laying almost right on top of it just ready to fry me in my sleep. We go to check out and the lady at the desk wasn't any nicer than the one the night before. I have stayed at this hotel twice before and never got charged twice, so clearly I wasn't expecting that. Thank God I brought a couple credit cards with me (for emergency use) or I'd have been stuck in Tennessee. They were having no part of giving my money back. This place isn't worth 20 dollars, let alone 260! I'll be calling my bank when they re-open and probably a call to the fire department as well. I'd hate to see someone get burned alive. I don't recommend staying here at all. I'll have to find a new place for when I come down and visit church.

They got there around six o'clock and the front desk lady was so nice and helpful. The reception area was immaculately clean. Very affordable for our one night. We got a two bed room on the second floor and upon opening the door you get a very stale smell coming out. The beds were set up nicely and neatly. The TV was small but big enough to see it nicely. The sink was outside the bathroom in the open but was set up very nicely. The bathroom was small but to and clean towels but we didn't use them anyway. The outside was nice though the pool was very dirty (not that we were going to go in the pool) which should have been covered. Overall a good place to rest before heading out again.
