“I always appreciate good recommendations for auto repair shops, so I wanted to share one that I had a great experience with. My truck needed the transmission rebuilt after the infamous crappy Chevy torque converter went bad and messed up my transmission. The truck wouldnt stay in any gear. I was referred to a shop from a mechanic friend, Transmission Masters in La Vergne. I called them and told them what was going on with the truck. They quoted me for a transmission rebuild and laid out plan to upgrade the components to a heavy duty transmission, which I was going to ask for since the factory transmission is infamously suspect in my model but didn't need to because they informed me they do this standard for transmission rebuilds on my model. Dropped the truck off and they looked at it same-day and confirmed it needed a transmission rebuild. Told me it would take 5 business days and they got it done in 4. Super communicative the entire time. Gave me progress updates throughout the week. Repair costs were exactly what they quoted me on the first call. Fantastic customer service. Truck is running better than when I bought it. More power in the lower gears. Shifts like butter.
