Bought a 239 in 2020 and a 302.7 in 2023 and had a great experience with Cat and the Brandon C. in sales. The service department was quick to come out and fix a couple very minor issues under warranty. Both machines are serviced by Cat at my shop and will buy Cat again.

Pulled this c-15 apart it has a thompson cat truck center sticker on it. Said call before any repairs Tim Demonbreun. I tried calling to ask why they done such a horrible counter bore job on this engine. But I got no answer. 4 of the 6 cyl were cut to .100 5n0093 shim the other 2 were cut to .130 and a bigger outside diameter which is a non cat part. This block should've never been cut like this. I've cut thousands of counter bores and would like to know what the thinking was here. This block should've gotten salvage sleeves if every cyl was this bad.

I bought a 304 trackhoe December 22. Started using it in March 23. Had a oil leak first time we used it. Fixed the next day. Next job we found it had no power swing and swing brake wouldn't hold. Also tracking was jerky. After 11 months still not fixed. Have only used it about 5 hrs. Can't get them to do anything about it. Had a cat rep look at it and he agreed it had problems
Still no help from Thompson or Cat. Got promises but nothing done for me. I paid more for Cat because I thought they would give good service. Now I am stuck with a machine that I can't use.

We are a new combat veteran owned excavation company trying to do business with this company. We had a couple contracts coming down the pipeline and I submitted a request for rentals. Their salesperson Brad hung up on me because I couldn’t figure the process to secure the rental because the process wasn’t very intuitive. I called back and he told me he hung up on me on purpose. We got into an argument and 2 weeks later they intentionally canceled my account and cost me 15K in a contract and their GM was cavalier in his words and told me because his salesperson and I had words it constituted a breach of them doing business with despite a deduction in my credit score to establish a relationship with them. Thompson CAT doesn’t care about their customers or hold their employees accountable for their actions. Only their double standards. CAT machinery is great, Thompson is not. Go to Kentucky where they won’t lie and make up false narratives to bolster their bad business practices.Love,James

We were heading south on a family vacation when the water pump went out on our RV. We called Thompson’s and they happened to have the part in stock and didn’t hesitate to get us in right away so our family could get back on the road as quick as possible. Absolutely wonderful customer service, every staff member was so nice, they checked in on us often and made sure we were well accommodated while in waiting room. Thank you!!

I walked in there not knowing a soul .someone got up from eating lunch to help me . I dealt with Matt and Jacob .and let me tell you in my almost thirty years in this industry I’ve never had such a seamless experience. Ps the 6nz they put a platinum gave the ole girl her dancing shoes back I highly recommend them
