Current date is 06-29-2024. Hate to write bad reviews, I really do. Also, I normally do not review grocery, fast food, or department stores. However, I feel compelled to do so in this case. Firstly, let me say I have never had any issues with this Save A Lot before. We have shopped here from the 1980's, and when it was Smith's CB in the 2000's. The meat department was always excellent. However, the last two visits we have had some concerning issues. On the first visit about 2 weeks ago I noticed marked down hamburger patties. I admit the patties were no longer pink in color, so I should have turned it away. However I took the chance and bought a pack. Well, when I got it home and opened it, the smell revealed it had obviously turned rancid. On the second visit I had noticed that someone had packaged family packs of chicken thighs as chicken wings. My concern is who is in charge of the meat department now ? Is it safe ?
