“We always stop by here if in Knoxville. They are always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. On our most recent visit the staff helped me with model paint. What the instructions called for was an enamel, I only use acrylics and the color didn't exist in the acrylics. There was something close and staff instructed me how to make it what I needed.
It's a good thing this isn't where we live or we would spend way too much money here.”
“Cute shop with lots to browse. I felt very crammed while walking through here. It is not a very accessible place. Prices are pretty high, but they had some nice items.”
“My niece had a party here. Rented the playground for an hour and then had cake in the party room. It was a really good experience, and the kids had a great time!”
“I grew up going to stores like these for bargain hunting, but Ollie’s is next level! I even found my favorite shampoo and conditioner that was discontinued a year ago, and cleaned them out at about 1/5 the price it used to cost me at Target.”
“I haven't been into a Barnes & Noble in years, but I received a gift card for Christmas, so I went to pick out a few books.
I was honestly shocked by the prices. Most books were around $20 (even short paperback books). I was really excited about seeing their Freida McFadden collection, but it wasn't even in the right section. When I did find them, they were on a random table with about 6 copies.
Additionally, I found sections that were dead ends rather than aisles that allow you to wander freely.
I found some cute vision boards in the area between the sets of doors, but the descriptions were very vague, so I didn't want to make the purchase.
Staff was pretty much nonexistent. We saw one employee at a desk in the middle of the store, and the rest were at the cash registers. That was disappointing, as I recently read an online review of the amazing customer service that B&N offers. I was hoping to have some employees to ask questions of.
I walked out empty-handed and will have to go back to spend the gift card since the website requires $50 spent to get free shipping. Freida McFadden has a new release in 2 days, so hopefully, they will have a large number of those in stock then, in paperback!”
“We bought a 14 ft trampoline from Funmakers in 2019 and assembled it ourselves. Our boys have used it hard and it's still going strong. Just recently we had a pretty large branch fall on it from about 15-20 feet above. The net and poles caught the branch, stopping it from puncturing the trampoline surface, but bending a few of the poles. As Funmakers is a dealer, we were able to order the exact replacement parts needed that weren't available on the website. Don't let the modest storefront front turn you away... they sell great products and service.”
“Great store to snag some great deals! Nice go to store for anyone just moving into a apartment/home! deals on wash rags, to curtains, to rugs, to pillows, to paint, to organizer containers, to mattresses, to kitchen appliances. Definitely do yourself favor to check here first.
Worth also mentioning great finds on kids toys & books, pet supplies, automotive products, paint supplies, floral, & household items. ? Ollie's”
“Decided to check this place out while I happened to be in this shopping center and I’m glad I did! This ended up being a super cool store, with a variety of items. They’ve got a wide variety of miscellaneous products aimed towards teens, including phone cases, candy, sports gear, and room decorations. I went on a Monday during early afternoon and It was literally just me and two other shoppers in the store, but it’s possible that this place is much more crowded during the weekends. As the name suggests most of the things in here are five dollars or less, with a few items, especially tech related things, being a little more. The priciest thing I saw was 12$, with most things three bucks or less. Another bonus was cleanliness. This place did just open, but everything was squeaky clean and well organized. I’d highly recommend you check this place out if you’ve got time to kill and you happen to be in the area, as it’s a cool store with a plethora of cheap, quality items.”
“Interesting store. They have a big variety of things; toys, school supplies, health and beauty items, electronics and more. Most things are $5 although not everything. The items are of decent quality especially considering the low price point. It's kind of fun to take the grandkids in and hand them five bucks and see what they find.”
“Never heard of the place until I was hunting down a collectable for my wife for mother's day. Google search had some bad reviews but I took a chance. Glad I did. Got quick responses back for emails I sent and my order arrived on time. If you see bad reviews, ignore it.”
