Avoid this clinic at all costs. First, Jessica is very rude and unprofessional. When arriving as a new client with my cat she did not allow me to enter the clinic. She barked at me, "Excuse me where are you going!" as I was heading towards the entrance door. She was standing outside at the time with another client who was parked in front of the clinic. I said I have a 3pm appointment. She then yelled at me that I needed to be escorted into the building and need to wait in my car. She made me feel like I was committing a crime or breaking the law by trying to go into the building. It was very off putting. So I ended up sitting outside on a bench in front of the building as it was almost 3pm. She went inside and after some time in the 90 degree heat with my scared cat. She came outside and said called me by the wrong name and said I could come in now. I corrected my name and she did not apologize. She just brushed it off. Upon entering the facility all the lights are off. It is dark and depressing and the front doors were locked behind us which I though was strange and a fire hazard. I waited in the room she took me too and she closed the door. The room was hot, very hot and there was no air conditioning in that room at all. I waited for what felt like a very long time in such a hot room when finally, a female came in the room and did not introduce herself and started asking questions. I did not know her title, was she a vet tech, who was she? I gave her my cat's history and then she left. Then she returned with another female and a male, again no one introduced themselves or told me their title. The male weighed my cat and took her temperature. Then the doctor came in the room and the only reason I know her name was because Dr. Bennett was it was on her white smock. The doctor talked to me for over 45 minutes about nonsense, even one of the females yawned. It felt like she was purposefully keeping me there longer than needed. Then she went and saw another patient during my visit and made me wait even longer. When she came back, Dr. Bennett apologized for how hot the room was and opened the door so we could get air from the very dark waiting room that had no lights. My husband arrived at the clinic because he was worried as I was already there for 45 minutes. He was locked out pacing back and forth in front of the clinic door and had to call me so they could let him in as the doors are locked. VERY STRANGE. I asked if there is a prescription food or something as my cat is not eating much. She said there was nothing wrong with my cat and sent me away. I was charged for an extended visit because the visit went overtime, and it was through no fault of my own. I was not given a solution to my cat's problems. I was treated poorly by Jessica who rudely took my credit card, did not give me a receipt and practically shoved me out the door with my cat. This place is a scam. It is not professional. It is not welcoming. It feels like a funeral home. I called the manager Jeff today and he was rude and not helpful and told me to go somewhere else. Please go somewhere else where people treat each other with respect and dignity. If you drop off your pet here who knows how they are being treated. If they treat people like a disease who cannot enter the building, then how are they treating our pets?

The best vet clinic I have ever been to. Dr. Bennett is the perfect doctor. What else really matters than that? The prices seem better than other places. Don't hesitate, make an appointment.

Dr Skinner has been the best vet we have ever worked with in 40+ years of owning dogs. He is skilled, caring, and responsive. We have recently moved to Knoxville and are so happy we found him.

We've been seeing Dr. Skinner here for two years after I walked in with two sick adopted shelter kitties and he took us in without an appointment and treated us like family. My kitties love it there (just kidding - they hate car rides and shots). The staff are always sweet to our girls and assist us in knowing how to provide the best home environment for a long life with our cats. Their yearly exam was today and it went smoothly. See you next year!

I'm going to visit Dr. Skinner with my 4 cats because of the previous negative review. Lefty lover me.

I've been bringing my dog here ever since I got her. I originally adopted a dog from a shelter and the shelter lied to me about the dog's health and during her check up, the vet at KAC was very honest with me about how I had been lied to and then told me they wouldn't charge me for the visit and advocated for me by calling the shelter and explaining how what they had done was wrong. Fast forward 4 years- I now have a healthy happy pup who loves going to the vet. They are always very thorough and address all my concerns. My only complaint is they are a little pricey, but they always take good care of my dog. They are also very honest about if I can get something my dog needs cheaper somewhere else: prescription food, grooming, and boarding.

Dr. Skinner is an absolute joy to work with!!! I cannot express how grateful I am that he is part of our lives. He takes time and care with your pet and treats them as they were his own. More importantly he takes time and care with the people involved. I don't know how many times he has taken time (in the evenings, on weekends, and even when he is scheduled to be off) to return a call, or follow up on lab work, or just to check in on my pup. Not to mention he is so through in his explanations that he often will get out medical books, journals, or internet information to help you better understand your pets condition. I will NEVER see another vet as long as I am in the Knoxville area and that is 100% because of Dr. Skinner!!

If I could give negative stars I would. My family, extended family and friends have been taking our pets here for years. We have always been happy with this vet clinic and I know Dr. Skinner's wife, personally. I was browsing through my news feed on Facebook the other night, when I ran across a disturbing post. It was political banter. I noticed the name Stephen Skinner and it caught my attention. I read through the posts and was appalled at the things that were said. Dr. Skinner apparently has some strong political views..(left wing) Nothing wrong with a lefty, as I myself, lean more to that side. We are people of humanity, right? We preach acceptance and love. The things I read from Dr. Skinner sickened me. He was hiding behind his keyboard harassing and trying to humiliate someone who had a different political view from him. Another deranged fool who was fueling the fire noted "How do Dr. Skinner's (nuts) taste?" Referring to the fact that he felt Dr. Skinner "owned the conversation." Of course Dr. Skinner "liked" it. My problem with all of this is the fact that I know Dr. Skinner's wife Lisa pretty well. I own my own company in the Knoxville area and have done business with her myself. She is a great person with the soul of an angel. I've heard her pleas for love and acceptance. To make a long story short, I want to state that I am merely advising you to ask yourself if you would feel comfortable taking your beloved pet to a vet that has no regard for other's opinions or judgements. If your pet was lying on a table and there was a chance that his/her life could be salvaged, but it was up to the vet to make that determination...Dr. Stephen Skinner only has one view and doesn't take difference in opinion in to consideration. He is right, you are wrong...your pet will die. I can't un-see the hatred from this man. I am utterly disappointed. My friends and I have made the decision to use a different clinic going forward and I ask that you ask yourself to take your pet somewhere that your opinions are honored and decisions are accepted. From what I read the other night, I have come to the conclusion that Dr. Stephen Skinner is a dark soul hiding behind a keyboard and I'm not going to risk my pet's life by taking him to someone with such a hatred in his heart.
