If I could give 7***, I most definitely would. The expertise Mehlie has, as well as how much my German Shepard pup loves her….speaks volumes. Our Fendi came back over her board and train (2weeks) extremely obedient and totally a different dog. I would highly recommend Mehlie to anyone, regardless of breed, she is absolutely fabulous. We live in Asheville area and I do not hesitate to make the drive for Mehlie to board and train her.

Excellent work with our Great Dane puppy. The trainer was friendly and always answered any questions we had. The whole process was smooth and great. Will be back for more classes.

I have never been so disappointed in the trainers. I wrote a previous review about how disappointed I was in Off Leash K9 training and they came, trained my dog some more and ask me to take down the previous review which I did. Now I am adding another review because I have notified them that my dog is not heeling or walking off leash with no and no response. I will not take this review down until I get what I paid for

I was at Lakeshore Park with my very reactive GSD. I saw a girl working with a Malinois and another dog in a place command. The one thing that struck me was the behavior of the dogs. I approached to see what my dog would do around a well behaved dog. Long story short, I had a conversation with Melie, she gave me her contact information and the next day I signed up for 8 lessons for Ranger and me. That was time and money well spent. Before I couldn't get near another dog, he's doing so much better now. There are so many things I want to do with him, so I'll sign up for more training. Melie was excellent at reading the dog and transferring what she saw with him into teaching me the areas I needed to improve as the leader of my dog. Her knowledge has really made a difference in how ranger and I interact. I can't recommend her enough.

Off Leash K9 training is wonderful. My dog Maizy had such a wonderful experience with first Nikki then Melie. They are kind and patient and kept us updated the whole time with pictures videos and updates. They communicate so well and I felt so comfortable leaving our dog there for training. She came back to us well trained and her behavior was so much better even after just a week. I would 100% recommend off leash K9 training for anyone that has a dog that needs training.

I can’t say enough good things about Off Leash K9 Training! Everyone told me when I got my beagle that she’d always follow her nose and that she’d never be an off leash dog. Quinn heard that concern and completely transformed my beagle. Goose can be off leash on all of her walks and listen to all my commands, it’s incredible. Quinn is the best!More recently I got a blue heeler who isn’t so sure about other dogs. When I expressed this concern, Sandra made sure to work with me, figuring out what course of action would be best for him. The team at OLK9 is phenomenal and has helped me every step of the way when it comes to figuring out what’s best for my dogs!

Morgan was the BEST with our little monster! Her patience and calm demeanor are unmatched and she was wonderful to work with. Marmalade probably would have been happy to stay with her forever, but we’re so glad to have her home and with some new tricks up her sleeve! Cannot recommend Morgan and the OLK9 team highly enough.

We can’t say enough good things about the training our puppy Bulleit received! It’s definitely an investment in your pet, but so worth it. Our little guy was full of energy and excitement at all times, but in two weeks, he came back to us and is a beautifully trained and well-behaved dog.Morgan has such a way with animals. She truly cares and loves each and everyone of them and we are so thankful for her. She has been a true blessing to our family!Just a few weeks ago, she asked us if we would be interested in taking on another rescue puppy and, of course, we couldn’t refuse. Idgie will come for training soon!!Thank you!Daryl & Jan

I usually believe in giving credit where it’s due, but after my experience with Off Leash K9 Training, I feel obligated to share my story so others can avoid the heartache and frustration I’ve endured.I enrolled my dog, Kane, in their off-leash training program with high hopes, given their promising name and services. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what was advertised. Not only did Kane not learn the basic commands for off-leash behavior, but he also picked up several undesirable habits under their guidance. Before joining Off Leash K9, Kane knew how to sit, stay, and 'follow' (my version of 'heel') quite well — all achieved without the need for punishment or coercion. Shockingly, after their training, he refused to perform any of these basic commands without the threat of an e-collar. It’s as if we had to start from scratch, but this time, with the added challenge of overcoming his reluctance without the e-collar's punishment. The trainer's reliance on the e-collar was excessive, having to use it over seven times for it to have any effect. when removed, Kane was completely unresponsive to commands without it.The trainer, inexplicably, taught Kane to “place” himself on my coffee table, turning it into his new favorite spot to jump on at his leisure. This was the first red flag, but more followed swiftly. Despite assurances of proficiency in potty training, Kane had an accident on my floor within minutes of the trainer showing off his "progress."As for the essentials — heeling, staying, and responding to off-leash commands — there was zero improvement. Instead, Kane returned with a newfound skill in begging for scraps and, more worryingly, food aggression. A behavior he never exhibited before. He’s even attempted to bite me over food handling, a shocking departure from the gentle dog hand-fed by me for months. This aggression is clearly a learned behavior, pointing to serious flaws in their training methods. The resolution offered by Off Leash K9 was to double down on the use of prong collars and e-collars. Such methods have been shown to potentially exacerbate issues like food aggression, making them counterproductive at best, and harmful at worst.Their rigid no-refund policy leaves me out of pocket and forced to seek out (and finance) alternative training to correct these newly introduced behaviors. It’s disheartening to see Kane regress rather than progress, and I am now tasked with undoing the damage done under their care.I write this review not out of spite, but as a cautionary tale for fellow dog owners. Training is supposed to enhance the bond between you and your pet, not strain it. Unfortunately, my experience with Off Leash K9 did the latter, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend their services.

Our dog obeys! We didn’t think she was very smart but turns out she’s really smart! She loves learning, we just didn’t know how to teach her. We highly recommend Becky. So much so, that we immediately scheduled our older dog for training as soon as we saw what was possible!
