The guy that usually answers the phone, never calls you back. Signed up for a wheel throwing class with my mom for Mother’s Day and when we showed up the guy booked the class for hand making pottery. It was scheduled for two hours, and when the instructor had to re set up for wheel throwing, she included that as part of our two hour class which became very rushed. My mom and I both explained what we wanted to make, mine being cups. She failed to mention how much they shrink, so after not receiving a call that they were ready, over a month later I received a cup the size of my palm. Very disappointing. Even displaying disappointment, the guy had no sympathy. Waste of $200 in my opinion.

We had a great time learning the very basics of wheel throwing with Bailey! They were very informative, helpful, and most of all patient with me and my girlfriend and our competitive nature. Would highly recommend.

We had a blast learning how to throw! Jazz was such a great instructor and even helped us make something we can use on a daily basis! Highly recommend, especially for a group date!

My wife has a space there and loves her experience so far.
Everything I've seen about the place seems to be wonderful. The artists that work there are kind and talented and you feel like you're around a special group of people.
They have shows and showcase lots of talented people.
Certainly one of Knoxville's little creative gems.

A great place to be creative. The unfortunate thing about it is the location, but great use of the building.

I signed up for a 6 week all levels wheel throwing course (with Eric) as a complete newbie. It was awesome! Be patient with yourself, as throwing (at least for me) was a steep learning curve. Eric is a great teacher and is very patient and helpful. One note is I do wish that studio hours were later in the day, they end at 5-6pm every day (except for one day that goes until 9pm), so for those who have work/school, it can be hard to get there.Expect to put in the work; I think some people signed up for this class thinking it would be a breeze, and then stopped showing up halfway through the class because it was hard. Don’t get me wrong, this art is very satisfying and rewarding, but you will have to put in the work, and there will probably be times where you get frustrated. If you don’t really give it a shot, you’ll probably just end up feeling like you wasted a bunch of money.I think this class is 100% worth the value and I want to sign up for another one in the future! 18 hours of instruction time, open studio hours, and all the materials (clay, tools, kiln, glaze, wheel) is so worth $275.

Ordered a glaze over the phone and picked it up when driving through Knoxville. Great service, price and turnaround. The glaze fired perfect. Wish I lived closer...the studios look like a great space to learn and work. Nice folks!

We did the Raku evening experience last night. My suggestion to everyone: do it! It is fun, safe, creative but does not require experience or great skills. And the best part? You go home with a finished raku pot!
