I like shopping at Kroger as it is very close to our home. However, sometimes I'm disappointed as they won't have certain veggies in stock, such as beets or garlic and I have to go further out of my way to get these at another store. Some of the many pros: helpful staff, lots of self check out machines, beautiful floral department and a very clean store. Also, I like that they have the Kroger gas station right by the store and hubby and I use our shopping points to get money off of our bill at the pump. If you don't already have the Kroger app on your phone, I'd highly recommend downloading it. You can clip the weekly coupons right on there.

I have been a long stand loyal Kroger customer for over 25 years until this last weekend. Im am disabled am have been hospitalized so I am currently unable to drive. I ordered a delivery grocery order from Krogers. it was a substantial order of over 150.00. It never arrived I called Kroger they tracked it and confirmed it had never even come close to my address it had been stolen. They issues a refund. it has now been 8 days my account is in hold I can't do anything until I get this refund. why couldnt something more been done doing without for days because of this due to no fault of my own is ridiculous. I want my money back I have proof. I will continue to complain and leave reviews as I am forced to suffer cause of their poor hiring skills.

As a collector of the seasonal Starbucks tumblers, I find great joy in visiting a Starbucks/Kroger location that has a coveted item in stock. To young Kailei and her young male associate who attempted to steal this joy today, "We've been here since 6am" is not an acceptable excuse for treating customers poorly. A simple merchandise purchase should never be met with such contempt. If the two of you were unable or unwilling to tend to customer needs today, you shouldn't have opened. Young man, when I asked for a bag for my merchandise, I didn't want you to shove one in my face so I could bag the tumbler myself. And Kailei, when I asked you for a receipt, the eye roll was unnecessary. Surely in your industry, a receipt request isn't unheard of. It's standard at most locations. The fact that the tumbler was in stock is the only reason why I'm giving two stars.

I just left the Knoxville store in Fountain City. As I walked up to the front door they didn't open. An employee standing out front told me to " just push the door open. It was 6:56 am. Apparently the store does not open till 7:00 am. I was unaware of this change. As I walked up to self check out with 4 items an employee "LINDA" begin literally screaming at me about coming in to early . A simple explanation would have done the trick. When I tried to tell her about the employee that told me come on in, she didn't want to here about it, she just continued her rant. Several other employees witnessed this exchange. It got heated .NOBODY needs to talk to people like that . If this the kind of individuals that are going to "Greet Us" up front maybe we should think twice about Krogers in Fountain City. I'm sure this is not the first time LINDA has been an issue. People like this are BULLIES. I hope someone will speech to her and find out where all this angry is coming from.

Wonderful store: Clean, usually have everything in stock. They also have TONS of self checkout machines which I would recommend because no matter how many lanes are open to check out with cashiers, there always seems to be a long line.

I will not use self checkout! That is not customer service! I tried it once and it was so screwed up. Fifteen minutes waiting for the one person working 8 registers to help. Fix this crap! People need jobs!

Kroger may have a better selection ... provided you can ever find it in stock. However, I can't count the times they don't have basic items that even the small competitors carry. Their shelves are frequently empty (pre-pandemic as well). Their produce department, while somewhat improved, often has flies and gnats. The lines at the register are inexcusably long and slow. I realize standing here today that it must be because customers have to unload their own groceries onto the conveyer belt... a little antiquated in my view. The ONLY reason I will come here is because my ultra picky mother likes the bananas and chicken from here.

The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the woman bagger WAS THE SLOWEST BAGGER IVE EVER SEEN IN MY 65 YEARS ON THIS PLANET! It truly was unbelievable! The guy ahead of me had a medium sized order, nothing over the top. What should have taken a few minutes took freakin' forever! On top of that, the cashier should have stepped in and assisted the bagger after she was done ringing up the order. Instead, she walked away for a few minutes. When she returned, the bagger was still bagging the order! I said to the cashier that I didn't need bags, I would just throw my stuff back in the cart. Fortunately, she rang up my order and I got out of there. The lady was STILL bagging up the guys order when I left! That service is uncalled for! If the bagger has some sort of disability, she should be assigned a position that won't affect the flow of getting customers in and out. I'm all for giving everyone an opportunity, but I'm going to guess this was not the case. I was watching this woman (I had lots of time to do that!) and I saw or heard nothing that seemed atypical). How can a cashier not help? How can management let this happen. I will take a guess and say this is the bagger's usual speed since the cashier was not fazed by her extreme lack of speed, or I should say , more like the bagger's extreme lack of movement! If the woman bagger has a disability, it's the management's fault they have her in a position that she is not capable of performing. If this woman has a disability, then assign her a job that she's capable of performing. If there are no issues with disabilities, then this woman should be fired.
