King Cleaners in Bearden Center on Kingston Pike is an excellent place to drop off your cleaning and to have alterations and repairs done to clothing. This is the second time that a I have dropped off shirts to have patches sewn onto them. They are easy to explain things to and the cost is very reasonable. I will have the items back within the week, and they can even press them for you when completed.Check out King Cleaners in the Bearden Shopping Center on Kingston Pike.Follow me on Yelp for more places to visit, and things to see and do in Knoxville and East Tennessee.

I don't want to rate even 1 star.I definitely do not recommend getting services here - Unbelievably bad dry cleaning technique and the worst quality of service in Knoxville. The owner "Scott" ruined my shirt, and he only said, "It is a problem with the material, I didn't make the shirt. I don't have any responsibility for it.". The shirt was a really good quality one (ALICE + OLIVIA's 100% silk shirt, new one), and I haven't had this kind of problem with other dry cleaning shops. If you want a dry cleaner dealing with delicate and good quality fabric, please go to other good dry cleaning shops (King Cleaning has been in business for 40 years does not mean that the current owner is competent).

Knoxville has taken a huge hit of being able to find good dry cleaners since COVID hit. They can’t seem to find help and then they have had to raise prices because they can’t find help. I had been a customer of Halls Cleaners for 8 years and was so happy. They gave me same day service and it was awesome and then they sold and it became awful. I went searching literally all across Knoxville and was worried I would get stuck with Prestige where frankly I can’t afford the prices.I had used King like 20 years ago and since they are close to my office tried them again. They don’t have same day but do next day; which is also impossible to find in Knoxville right now.The staff have always been friendly and the prices are competitive which is saying a lot in this current economy.I recommend giving them a try at the Bearden location. The ladies at the front counter work so hard but are always so pleasant and have me ready when they say they will.

They overpriced my alteration. Advised me, it was gonna be $150.00 and tried to charge $170 and the “tax” was $20.00. I will never go back..

Very unsatisfied customer of 9+ years, during that time I have used King’s bi-weekly delivery service. My service was abruptly stopped without notice because I was, “not providing them enough business.” I attempted to call the business for clarification and was told I would receive a return phone call the following day. I did not receive a return phone call, so I called King’s again and spoke with Scott who was extremely rude and told me to take my business elsewhere. I strive to use small businesses in Knoxville but it looks like I’ll be taking my business to another establishment with better customer service.Service: Delivery

Took a comforter in to be cleaned. Attempted to pick it up the day it was to be completed. I was told that it would be ready the next day because it had stains on it. Called earlier in the day and was told that they "weren't sure where it was" and that the lady that answered the phone would call her boss to find out. I tried to call back for three hours and no one answered. Went to the shop and was again told it wasn't ready. I asked for the comforter back so I could take it elsewhere and that's when I was told that it was damaged and currently being repaired and it "may" be done the next morning. I cannot say this with more conviction, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

I was so excited to have an ink stain removed from my business pants. Kings Cleaner did a poor Dry Clean job. Original ink stain still present + an additional stain that was originally noticeable. I typically DIY my clothing, I didn't request their horrible Dry Cleaning Services. The cashier should have told me the TRUTH. That they will NOT be able to remove the stain. It's a trick, they pretend they might be able to remove stains, then charge you a Dry Cleaning expense. Basically, o paid for the hanger & plastic wrap. I am so so so DISAPPOINTED. Absolutely no explanation as to why the huge stain was still there. Typically Dry Cleaners would leave a courtesy y note. Theyre going to con me into another horrible Dry Cleaning service ever again.

As a first time customer I was very disappointed. I took a wedding suit to get pressed for a family wedding that was on July 6. I dropped it off on Thursday June 27 and told the employee I was going out of town and would pick it up on Friday 5th. At that time she should have told me that they were closed that weekend. I called every phone number associated with this owner to see how I could get the suit. I called the number on his door 208-1035 and explained to them the situation and pleaded with them to return my call. No one did. I had to buy a second suit for the wedding which brought the total over $800. When I went to Kings Cleaners the young man I spoke with said the phone number I left message with was owner's wife and if she had contacted him that he had a key and I would have gotten my suit. I was assured that I would get a call from Scott King the owner the following day. I never did so when I called him he had left. I called the following day and he said he had not heard anything about it and I tried explaining and told him I left a message with his wife. He told me she was not on call 24/7. I understand that but if my husband's business had an issue I would not ignore it. I am out $800 because of this and it was not my fault. He did not have a sign up on his door when I dropped off my suit. I wanted some kind of compensation but he said my story doesn't match with his employee. I guess not, since she doesn't want to loose her job. It is obvious that he does not need my business but I hope he can sleep at night knowing he caused a major hardship on my family. I hope his wife can sleep good as well. I give this 0 stars.
