As someone who works professionally in an ever-changing field with aggravating requirements, and the constant responsibility of relaying change and new tasks to contractors, clients, and staff, I can say with full absolution and appreciation that Jason Payne is the best in his field. Jason Payne stayed in constant contact and relayed all changing information as soon as he received it, even when I was unavailable or hard to reach, and handled aspects of events that were above and beyond his own responsibilities to further assist me and my loan when I was unable. Jason Payne and CMG Financial will always be my first call with any new or existing loans, and I will actively give recommendations and contacts at any opportunity I find. I could not be more satisfied with the care and professionalism that I received, nor more impressed with Jason Payne's ability to overcome and solve any issue at hand.

I've gone through Jason for a mortgage twice now. Both times he has been a pleasure to work with. His patience with us was fantastic.

Jason referred me to his "friend" Brian Chamberlain who was apparently a credit coach who could help me get my credit score up high enough to apply for the loan. This friend of his cost $500 and he did nothing to help me. The only thing he did was tell me to claim 9 in my deductions through work and then disputed everything on my credit report, which just caused more issues for me. He never contacted me, and any time I reached out to him he told me I had to be patient and talked about it being in God's time since we were affiliated with the same church. After 6 months of no help I asked for a refund which he agreed to. Two months later, no refund claiming things were slow and he didn't have it. Finally, after yet another text asking him where the refund was, he sent me $200 claiming he did his job and owed me nothing, but was sending $200 to be nice because I was in a bind needing the money for the apartment I ended up having to get. My credit score went up only because a secured credit card I had changed to an unsecured credit card with a much higher limit. When I applied for the loan, my credit score was sufficient, but my debt to income wasn't because of my student loans...which I figure Jason should have realized from the start given its his career. I would never consider using him again because of all of this.

Check and double check everything he tells you and be prepared to come up with extra money at closing! We had to come up with several thousand dollars more than we were told just 3 days prior to closing. OH, and ask about pre-paids. He left these out of the money we would need to close. I would go somewhere else. I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman rather than a senior financial representative. He likes to talk but doesn't really listen.
