Frankies has been my gym family for two years now. All of their trainers are incredibly friendly- no matter if you’re working out with them or on your own. They've taken my training up several notches with good health education and tips of good technique. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an encouraging community and gym with EVERYTHING you could want.

I’ve been to gyms all over Knoxville and not many compare to Frankie’s. Feels like home when you walk in the door!

Love the environment built at Frankie’s and I couldn’t be more grateful for the hospitality UTK powerlifting, as well as all of the other patrons have shown me here.

Great gym and variety of equipment. Only complaint I have is the hours. My work schedule frequently extends the duration they are open. Would LOVE if the gym opened earlier or closed later. Memberships are straightforward. Plenty of trainers around if interested too.

Love being a part of the Frankie’s Family! I’ve been training with Ben (coach stank) for almost a year and a half now and have changed my life with his help. The gym is super chill, rarely over crowded, and has any kind of machine/weight you could need. Everyone is super friendly and eager to answer any questions.

Great mom & pop gym to get your training in! Everyone is super friendly! I moved to Knoxville in August and the first thing I did was look for a gym. I am so glad I came to Frankie’s! 6 months in I already knew almost all of the trainers and many fellow gym goers - it’s a very encouraging environment. They have pretty much every machine you could ever need, as well as enough free weights to carry you through any workout. It gets a little busy sometimes around 5, but that’s no different from any other gym around. You just do another exercise real quick and whatever you need will probably be free after a few minutes. I’ve never had an issue.I would also say this gym is great for newbies and experienced athletes alike. The equipment is great for people that use a wide variety in their training and know exactly what to do, and the trainers absolutely love helping people get started in the gym. I see people of all different levels in there getting along and having a great time :)Highly recommend!!!

the trainers themselves are cool people. but chloe padilla is a scam artist. watch your back, read over all paperwork diligently and keep your copy.

My wife and I have been coming here everyday for a week and we love it! The space and location make it easy for us to get our morning cardio and a workout everyday! I have been way more consistent at this gym then even my university gym. They also have BJJ and MMA classes that I might take someday. Still need to figure out what to do on sundays though.

I used this gym over summer because the university gym was closed. You can barely have any space to yourself because of how much equipment they’ve crammed into the building; despite that, however, I often found myself still waiting on pieces of equipment. I primarily have issue with Frankie’s because actually making contact with anyone working there who’ not a trainer is hit or miss (almost always miss). I tried coming in multiple times and calling multiple times to cancel my membership to no avail, and eventually left a voicemail saying I’d like to cancel and if they needed me to do anything more to let me know. Never heard back, so I figured they had cancelled it. That was July, it’s November now, and they’ve been charging me every month since then. Just called and was told that my request to cancel didn’t matter because they didn’t have a “written notice”. That’s a ridiculous policy and I’ve heard of multiple others having this same issue. I was told I would not be getting my $100 back. Find any other gym.Edit in response: like I said, I went multiple times specifically to talk to someone so I could cancel. It seems like the gym is run by trainers, as I’ve never seen any manager or attendant at the “front desk”. It’s not ridiculous to believe the trainers would not have any say over memberships, and they’re also always with their clients so I’m not going to interrupt that. Out of all the gyms I’ve been to, I’ve never heard of ONLY accepting a written notice. Thus i had no idea I had to go through all the paperwork to figure out the one and only way you’ll accept cancellation. On top of this, in my voicemail I explicitly requested to hear back if I had to do anything further to cancel my membership. Do you expect us to read through every paper you have splayed out every time we enter? Or remember reading when we first joined the specific way you want us to cancel? By never taking or responding to calls, and never having someone available in the gym specifically to manage questions and concerns, it seems in my opinion it is intentionally difficult to cancel.

Great place to work out, and the trainers are always there assisting their clients. These guys know their clientele and work hard at helping you achieve your goals.

Fantastic gym!! Lots and lots of personal trainers available and FANTASTIC quality and cleanliness (coming from a past gym employee, their stuff is wayyy better than most commercial gyms). They focus on strength training and not on cardio so if you only do cardio stuff it might not be for you. They have a few cardio machines but have a bajillion ways to pick up heavy things, haha. They do student discounts and the price is great. I drive really far lengths just because it’s worth it. Privately owned too. Never too crowded. I would go after work at 3pm and it would be pretty quiet in there. Also the interior decorating is really fun/interesting and you never get bored looking at all the stuff when working out. I am sad to close my account because I am moving- just know that if you cancel the gym membership it has to be 30 days in advance and you have to go in person :)
