I am currently staying here and have been here for 4 weeks (for work) and I will continue to stay here because of the convenience and prices. If you are here for work it is a cheap option to cut down your expenses and the rooms are larger than a normal extended stay. HOWEVER, if you are booking this and looking for the hospitality and customer service that you might expect at a normal hotel then I would look elsewhere. While the rooms are fine, the location is convenient, and honestly the other guests keep to themselves (outside of some blaring loud music from cars in the parking lot at 2am-4am), you can not even have a simple conversation or ask a question to the front desk without it seeming like you are inconveniencing them to the fullest. (Side note: the maintenance/house keeping people are very nice!)I've had to go to the front desk just about everyday during my stay to have my room key re-activated because it wouldn't work. I don't complain, (I get it, older system that will mess up if the card if to gets too close to your phone), and I just say "hey my card isn't working again". I get eye rolls, huffs and puffs (keep in mind this is while he is laying on the couch in the main lobby using the hotel's iPad to watch movies), and then made to think that this is some how my fault although I make sure that I keep it in my back pocket and away from my phone or wallet at all times. He tells me every time "keep it away from your phone" and I respond with "trust me sir I definitely am not doing this on purpose to have to come back up here everyday".Look at my history of reviews....I have zero. Because honestly its just not worth it to me. But someone needs to do something about the people working the front desk here because they are absolutely miserable people that seem to have never heard of just being a decent human being to others. Were all here just either trying to work, or make it through the day, and some genuine customer service and at least acting like you might enjoy your job goes a long way. I'm from Texas, we are the mecca of hospitality and kindness so maybe I am expecting a little too much, but I have never had an experience so bad with customer service that I feel the need to write a freaking review on it. I have never seen so many eye-rolls and huffs from one person, literally like a pubescent teenager.Bottom line, don't stay here and expect anything more than I place with running water, decent wifi, and out-dated amenities. If you aren't high maintenance (me), its a fine and cheap place to work from. If you expect ANY sort of "oh that lady/guy was nice and they really enjoy serving people" type experience, you are going to be blown away at how rude you are treated here.If you are miserable with what you are doing, make some changes, but in the meantime you can at least project that you understand what customer service is.Oh, and please don't reply with your default response to this review. I don't care, I don't want anything, and I definitely don't want to cause problems. I am still a willing and paying customer. I just think sometimes people need to be put in their place.Noteworthy details: They will give you kitchen utensils and cookware if you ask for it at check-in (all old and used things) but it is like you asked them to run a marathon to go and get them for you.

This was the SMELLIEST place I’ve ever stayed. The hallways reek of marijuana and cigarettes. When we’d come in from shopping or dinner-it was so strong. The actual room smelled of ethnic food. My daughter was coughing badly by the 2nd night. I got home today and all of our clothing including what we were wearing smelled so badly, I washed them immediately. It would benefit the owner to get windows that would open (safely) and rip out the old carpet.I can’t say I’d recommend this to a family traveling with children. The initial reason I booked was because of the breakfast. With littles, it is much easier to go downstairs and eat. The breakfast had muffin and granola bars? Very disappointing. The location was very nice though. Convenient to several places. That’s about the only positive I can think of:(Rooms: The smell of cigarettes and marijuana overall was horrific. I felt guilty I stayed with my 9 yo:( We should have left.

Non-Smoking room smelled like an ashtray. Was told these are the rooms they give to people with pets. While I appreciate them allowing pets (with a significant fee), I did not appreciate being punished with a room that smelled so bad.

We first checked in and we always check sheets, pillows etc. We found hair and what I'm sure was a blood stain that soaked through the sheets into the matress!! They gave us another room and it was much better. Always check for these things.

We stayed a couple of nights at Thanksgiving. The staff were friendly and helpful—offering to help with luggage, holding doors, greeting us every time. The room was nice and clean. The kitchen was clean and roomy—for the size of the room.Nearby activities: You can walk to the mall or Target.

We had to leave the hotel and find other accommodations because of the cigarette smell in a smoke free room, in addition to all the stains on the bed, chair and rug. We could not find the desk manager to discuss this with prior to leaving and none of our calls were answered as we tried to inform them we checked out.

When we first checked in we were placed into a room that reeked of cigarette smoke. We couldn’t handle the smell so we were requested a new room to be placed in. The front desk attendant was able to do so. Her and a gentleman who I would guess was a housekeeper attendant whom was also close by joined our conversation said that a gentleman was in that room prior to and smoked incessantly and he didn’t know why people keep getting placed in that room before they fumigated. Anyways. That night there was a heated argument in the hallway outside our room around 3am. We called the front desk and apparently the front desk attendant was the one involved in the disturbance. Very upsetting. Won’t be going back

I am not providing a rating for rooms, service or location. I have never actually stayed here. I was looking for a temporary place to stay while I wait for my new construction home to be completed. Extended Stay’s website says they offer “affordable” short and long term housing solutions so I checked them out. The lady in their reservations department named Anisha told me it would be over $750 a WEEK which would be $3,000 a MONTH and it would go up to $3750 a MONTH if there were five weeks in the month instead of four. If they think these kinds of prices fall under the term “affordable” then might I suggest the use of another term….delusional. Absolutely insane.

The staff was courteous and professional from arrival to checkout. The accommodations were clean, quiet and comfortable. We don't need all the bells and whistles of a modern contemporary establishment with a higher cost so the Extended Stay America Knoxville was perfect for our visit and our budget.

I stayed at this location for 30 continuous days whilst relocating to the Knoxville area. Overall I'd rate it a 2.5 out of 5 stars, with the following notes:Pros: Staff was friendly and welcoming; location is perfect for anything in the Knoxville area; overall quiet during the week allowed for actual sleep; while the space is very small the room had the extended amenities needed (kitchen, etc.); basic wifi was pretty stable and usable for work and leisure; on-site laundry worked fine ($2.50 to wash / $2.50 to dry but they are good-sized units so you can wash / dry a lot at once on cold to save $); grab-and-go breakfast was goodCons: Infrastructure is old / failing - one example is I was without hot water for 3.75 days plus the ensuing repair attempts caused severe flooding and damage in the bathroom (pic - I was only comped 1 day for that major issue), other examples are old / loud microwave, bathroom fan was out-of-balance and very loud (unusable), carpet old and permanently dirty (pic), tub doesn't drain (pic) - I don't like standing water whilst showering (I reported it two times but it was never fixed); they use Dish Network (ugh) for tv so if it's cloudy or raining forget that; overall the property just needs a refresh - a bit musty on the 1st floor (tried an air freshener but it didn't really help), furnishings, spaces, etc. are just worn from age and use; some of the common areas were not very clean (some trash on floor in laundry, hallway); parking could be a challenge depending on the day as they allow contractors with trailers to park across multiple spots and it's a small, closed lot; no elevator for upper levelTips: If you like hot showers take them in the AM - in the afternoon / evening water only gets to lukewarm at best (likely a cost-saving effort?); keep fridge at mid-setting (I turned it a bit colder as I like colder drinks and ended up freezing / exploding a couple cans of pop!); buy a cheap sponge to wash your dishes (none provided); I ended up washing my own linens (I never had this happen before but whatever they use to wash linens was very scratchy to lay on); bring hangars; open the window when possible - bring a small clip-on fan for fresh airflow; bring some cleaning wipes; keep dryer sheets in dresser drawers; don't go barefoot

Avoid this place if you can. Originally given room #220 and it REEKED of fish. Toilet also looked like it had recently been used and not flushed. Stayed in the room for less than 10 minutes before having to ask to change rooms. My hair >24 hrs later still smells of that original room. The next room didn’t smell but Jesus the walls were paper thin and we heard kids screaming out in the hallways well beyond 11pm. The carpet in the second room had also all forms of stains on it. Lastly the breakfast was also barely a breakfast- expect dry muffins and granola. We got out of there ASAP.
