My husband and I bought a Nissan Rogue at the CarMax in Turkey Creek in February 2024. We purchased the MaxCare extended warranty because we were assured that we would receive comprehensive repair coverage (with a short list of exceptions) by paying a flat fee deductible at the time of repair. The radiator fan assembly has now failed in the Nissan Rogue, and we had to take it to a RepairPal Certified shop. WHAT THEY TELL YOU ABOUT THE WARRANTY COVERAGE IS A LIE!!! We have been informed by the RepairPal Certified shop that Assurant, the company that manages the MaxCare extended warranty, determines payment on a case by case basis. In our case, the radiator fan assembly is considered an electrical system, so the warranty will only cover 60% of the labor and 90% of the parts, leaving us with a an out-of-pocket of ~$1,000.00. We had no idea; percentage coverages for different vehicle systems were not listed in our contract. DO NOT TRUST CARMAX WHEN THEY TRY TO SELL YOU THE WARRANTY. They are trying to lull you into a false sense of security on the reliability of their vehicles. I'll never purchase another vehicle from CarMax after this experience.

We've had such a great experience at CarMax and especially working with Chad. He goes above and beyond in helping his clients and made everything as quick and smooth as it could have been. We've been searching for about a month and ended up test driving several options with CarMax. He was always available to help but never pushy. Because we've been looking for awhile, we also visited several other dealerships. Most of them were extremely stressful and exhausting. I used to think CarMax was a little more expensive but most dealerships add on many fees that you then have to spend hours trying to negotiate to get back to a fair price. Even with all the time spent going back and forth, in the end their pricing was usually equivalent to the CarMax no haggle price. So for us, CarMax is the clear winner and you'll definitely be in good hands with Chad.

Being in the automobile business myself for 35 years before retirement, knew what to expect for the most part. They shipped my Ridgeline to Knoxville Tn at no charge for me to test drive. Truck was just as expected. Everyone was very nice to me and I am very happy with my truck.

The first time was terrible. I said I would never go back but they had the car I wanted. This time everything was great. All I can say is you need to look at the car your self. I wouldn’t count on the inspection they do.

My husband and I purchased our new Ford Escape from Carmax this past week and there's a reason why you see so many cars on the road from with the Carmax vinyl decal on the back- it was an excellent experience! Shana Love was our main salesperson and she was awesome! She was real and relatable. Great job!

Our sales person was awesome, Shana Love. The vehicle was not cleaned very well, of Al the vehicles I have bought from CarMax this vehicle was the worse.

Car drove 47 miles and transmission locked in 1st they picked it up had it a week supposedly fixed it I picked it up it drove 5 miles before stuck in 1st gear again. Took it back in didn’t hear anything for another week when they said it needs to go to transmission shop. Owned car 16 days have had in my possession a total of 11 hours and 52 miles.
