If you want to waste your time, go here!My animals have been going here for over a year, and I have seen it go downhill drastically. A month or so ago I took my two cats in to get caught up on their vaccinations, I arrived 20 minutes early and called to check in since you have to wait in your car. After 40 minutes of sitting in my car I called them back and was told that they had "accidently forgotten about me and would be out right away to get my cats." 20 minutes after that they finally came and got them. So in total- I waited over an hour.I felt this was extremely unacceptable, but I live in the neighborhood and love to help out in ways I can!Fast forward to this morning. I had an appointment at 9am for my dog to get caught up on her vaccinations. I arrived 5 minutes early and called, (hoping since I waited closer to my appointment time I would not be overlooked this time,) and at 9:30, three cars who arrived after me had been seen, whereas I still had not been seen. I called them to ask what was going on and was told the tech was walking out the door now to come get my dog. A person walks out and goes to the car directly next to me and helps them, keep in mind this car also arrived after I did.I immediately pulled out of their parking lot and was so upset since this is the second time I have felt screwed over my this clinic, I had my mother call to see what was going on. They said that the "tech" was right behind the other lady that came out and helped the car next to me. Why tell me that the "tech" is "walking out the door now" and then the woman who immediately walks out the door does not come and help me?All in all, this clinic is very unorganized and does not tell the truth. I guess this is a blessing in disguise, because if they can not keep the appointment's in order or on track, how am I supposed to trust they are doing what they are saying they are doing to my animals?

I just go to refill prescriptions. There must be an easier way than pulling in the parking lot, calling several times, and waiting 30 minutes to bring out a single bottle of pills.

I've been taking my fur babies here for years. I actually found them years ago because I needed my daughter's turtles looked at. They were the only vet I could find who would see them. They are a great place to take your babies. I would recommend anyone to go here.

They were able to work us in and took great care of our cat. We were so anxious about taking him to a new vet but they were wonderful. You do have to be patient because it took 20-30 minutes after our appointment time for him to be taken in but they are worth the wait.

I have brought our cats here many times over the years. I can deal with many things, but when my cat Bojack was ill, not eating, drinking or using his litter box. I called on Memorial Day to get help for him. They weren't open of course, but the message sent me to a ER vet way out in West Knoxville. I sat there for nearly 4 hours waiting to hear something. Finally when the vet came out all she did in all those hours was do blood work and a urine sample. She said she couldn't find anything wrong with him, mind you he is usually a very active cat that is just laying there. She didn't offer any suggestions, but to take him home. Come Tuesday I called my vet, Broadway Veterinary Clinic, to get him in. They were full and couldn't see him though I told them how sick he was. They could see him Thursday morning. So I made the appointment. Come Tuesday night he was worse, although I tried to force feed him baby food. He was so weak and lifeless. I called an overnight vet and took him there. They kept him overnight trying to help him. He only got worse. They told me to take him to another vet on Clinch Ave. I took him right away. This vet's office had never seen me or Bojack before, yet treated us so well even after my poor Bojack passed away there. I have no respect for the vet in West Knoxville, had they offered me suggestions for my poor cat I could have held my baby as he passed. But I didn't get to all due to Broadway Veterinary Clinic and their afterhours Vet. I'm moving my remaining cats to the Vet Clinic on Clinch Avenue's sister site on Mill Road. I feel they will get better care. I still miss my baby Bojack.

Super long-time patients - cats and dogs, from bottle fed babes to an end-of-life. Fabulous vets. Excellent and kind staff. Very affordable. I, personally, like the curb-side drop-off and pickup. My pets do not get stressed over unfamiliar people and animals. Dr. James and Dr. Jen have come out and talked with us if there were any issues. No problems with getting to talk with anyone on the phone. Sure, I might have to wait a minute, but that's true of all places of business. As for waiting in the parking lot, I bring a book or work. I wait at my doctor's too. Love this place.

Absolutely love this place, Dr. James and his staff are polite, accommodating, knowledgeable and all around excellent in giving caring to their patients. Dr. James cropped our Bully's ears and did a great job! Amanda, one of the staff members was SUPER!! The office is about an hours drive (one way) for us but it was truly worth it.

Love Broadway Vets! They are wonderful. 30+ years. They listen to our concerns and work to help us out.We have a nervous dog that bites and they were very kind to help us comfort him for shots and blood drawn!

Very nice people, good veterinarian. Only thing is they don't let you go in with pets. You wait in car and they come and take them in. Just know that ahead of time and jo big deal just alittle different

I can understand being understaffed and/or busy. However, we've waited at least 45 minutes every single time after they've checked my animal in. There's no apology, no estimate of when they'll be able to see him, no adjustment, no reasoning over the phone, nothing. You have to be able to respect appointment times or make an attempt to fix this broken system. They seem unable to do either right now (or over the last 6 months based on the reviews I see.) They are wonderful veterinarians, it's disappointing that we need to look somewhere else.***Update: They took care of our appointment fees for our latest visit, so updating from 2 to 3 stars***

I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone for weeks now to make an appointment. When someone does answer the phone, I get put on hold right away and end up getting hung up on. I’ve left voicemails and haven’t gotten any response. I’ve only been here a few times and each time it’s a very long wait, even when you make an appointment. It’s also not very comforting not being able to go into the building with your pet, I don’t like handing over my best friend to someone blindly. How are we supposed to speak with the vet about any concerns we have?

Dr. James is my favorite veterinarian in Knoxville. Unfortunately we will be finding a new place to go. Every time we go there, whether to pick up meds or get an actual service, we wait in the car for 40 minutes to 2 hours. It doesn’t matter if you call and ahead and make an appointment or schedule the meds pickup.
