update: no response from this avis in regards to my book i returned on monday, it has been a week & no one answers the phone at this location.update: the response said that I am able to file a lost and found claim online, but this location is not includedHi i am trying to get in contact withsomeone in the office? No one‘s answering the phone and a rental that I did in Atlanta is on its way to Tennessee and it has some of my property in it. please contact me as soon as you guys see this? I hate to leave a two star rating but I need to get your attention because no one‘s answering and the lost and found line hung up on me, saying that no one is available to take my call and I need to try my call again later.Also this location is not included in the online list and found service. my claim number is 61999806 please assist me in this matter

Had reservations but could not rent vehicle do to credit score. When making the reservations a credit check was never mentioned. Customer service was rude when finding out that credit didn't wasn't up to par.

This location has poor customer service and likes to rent out dirty vehicles. To start, we picked up the vehicle we originally rented and it wouldn’t start. We were given another vehicle and 5 miles into the trip the car alerted us there was “0% oil life left” in the vehicle and needed an oil change. Then, we literally found a trash and a tin of cookies from the previous renter in the vehicle after they supposedly cleaned it. Upon returning the vehicle, they had the audacity to tell us a little bit of dog hair in the car is “excessive” and warrants a $250 additional cleaning fee. Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid at all costs.

Reserved month in advance for a mini van. Called to confirm and was told they could not grant the mini van but could likely get a sedan. Ruined our road trip and office staff was rude and unprofessional!! DO MOT RENT A CAR FEOM HERE!

I mad a reservation online and 4 hours before picking it up they left me a voicemail saying we don’t have cars available even though the website didn’t say that when I made the reservation. on top of all that they very rude and unprofessional on the phone

We made a reservation online to pick a car up for a one way trip and luckily called first about getting it early because the location we reserved on the website didn't even do one way rentals.

Super easy we rented online and chose this location because it was closest to the house we got a great deal online and it was honored when we arrived at the store we were also able to add a second driver at no cost

Warning: Long review. Would give zero stars if possible. Have dealt with many rentals through Avis (in another state) and this experience was by far the worst. To preface - I am well aware of renters' responsibility and vice versa. By my mistake I left 3 items in the back seat upon returning and did not realize until later in the day after they had closed. Drove by same day to check in the vehicle's window myself to see if the items were still in the floorboard - they were not. The vehicle had obviously not been rented to someone else yet, meaning the owners were the only people to be in contact with it. I spoke with the owner, Richard McGhie, twice about the issue and he was extremely passive aggressive and claimed there were no items found. He made a comment about dog hair being in the backseat (that he had "cleaned himself") which should not be an issue as they are required to have the vehicles detailed between each renter anyway. Talked down to me the entire time and was very rude. When I mentioned filing a police report, McGhie shrugged his shoulders and said "go ahead." One of these items was a family heirloom so I cannot shrug my shoulders and move on from this experience. Again, I am aware that Avis is not responsible for items left in the rental; however, I was treated very disrespectfully and know with absolute certainty that these owners either dumped the items, took them home for themselves, or are planning to sell for extra cash. The staff I spoke with at the local police department suggested I check the dumpster at this Avis location because this is an issue they have heard of several times before. Extreme unprofessionalism and dishonesty from a "family-owned" establishment.

Made a reservation online and they did not have any cars, the agent was kind enough to call and scream that at me, not allow me to get a word in edgewise to even ask a question and proceed hang up on me. Very poor service for a desk agent.
