So in response to the accusation that I packed my items poorly, I was complimented not only by their representative but also by the initial movers themselves on how well I packed our belongings. This company has taken no responsibility for their poor handling of our items- do you really want to hire a company that tries to put the blame back on you? I've moved numerous times due to business, and am well acquainted on how to pack properly. Shame on them to put the onus on to the victim

I have never wished anything negative to happen to a company as much as I wished the transportation dept to shut this company down as soon as possible. This place is robbing families on a daily basis. It took 4 months to move from NY to Texas plus the cost was 3,000 for a sofa they damaged, 4 TVs one which they broke a 55' tv treadmill and boxes of clothes which one box of pictures missing. If you have a brain. PLEASE Do your research NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I WAS DESPERATE TO MOVE QUICKLY AND LOOK HOW MUCH IT COST ME. RENT YOU A UHAUL AND DRIVE IT YOURSELF!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY QUOTED ME $999 WHEN THE END UP WAS $3000!!!

Where do I begin? I have never done business with a company who was so unprofessional and incompetent in my life! On December 23, 2019, A1 Moving And Storage, out of Clifton, NJ, was scheduled to pick-up my household goods to transport them from Fort Meade, MD to Dallas, TX. On the morning of December 23rd, I had received a phone call stating that the truck had broken down en route to me and they would have to reschedule the pick-up for the next day. Although I understand things happen, this was a big inconvenience to me, because I had to rearrange my entire schedule on December 24th to accommodate their mishap. When the movers arrived, I was under the impression that when they had finished packing my house, they would be en route to Texas soon after. Prior to the movers leaving, I had signed the inventory sheet and was told that they would be headed back to New Jersey to place my belongings in the warehouse until they were ready to deliver them to me. At no time was this ever relayed to me. I informed them that I would be arriving in Dallas on December 30th and was told that the clock would start at that point, in which it was going to arrive between 2-14 working days. After approximately a week of being in Dallas, I reached out to the company to receive an update on my delivery and was informed that my belongings were still on schedule to be delivered within the mentioned timeframe, which would put it no later than January 17th. On January 16th, I made several failed attempts calling (800) 550-9711, just to keep receiving the voicemail. I was finally able to get someone on the phone, just to find out that my belongings were still located at the New Jersey warehouse in storage! I was furious, since I had only packed enough clothing for 2 weeks for work! Every couple of days, I would attempt to reach out to the company multiple time a day and would either not be able to get anyone on the phone, or I would receive false, and/or conflicting information, depending on who I spoke to. When I finally got someone on the line to complain about not yet receiving my belongings, one particular female representative was rude and defensive and after going back and forth with each other for approximately 15 minutes, she hung up the phone of me without providing any answers to my questions pertaining to my shipment. On January 24th, I received a phone call from a driver stating that he was outside and that my belongings had finally arrived... NOT! After observing the movers bringing in boxes into my house, I noticed that the boxes were NOT mine. I was praying that my things were still on the truck and that they had just grabbed the incorrect boxes. Negative! A1 Moving and Storage had just driven from New Jersey to Texas with THE WRONG ITEMS ON THE TRUCK! I was livid! The driver stated that they were contracted out by the company and did not have anything to do with the warehouse loading the wrongs items on the truck. I was never aware that A1 Moving and Storage contracted their deliveries to different drivers. I attempted to contact the company multiple times to get answers and, of course, no answer! On January 27th, I was finally able to get someone on the phone. The representative was not aware of the mishap that had happened and was still providing incorrect information able my delivery arriving. I, the customer, had to inform A1 Moving that the driver had already arrived with the incorrect items on the truck. For the amount of money that I was charged, you would think that one would receive better service and ultimately be compensated for the incontinence. The representative offered me only $100.00 off for compensation, which I declined, due to me being insulted by that small amount. On February 6th, my belongings finally arrived. As the movers brought in my boxes, I noticed that most of my boxes were either smashed, ripped up and had scuff marks on them. Even my boxes that had glass and my 3 TVs are banged up. I made sure to plug the TVs in prior to them leaving to assure that they still worked pr

NEGATIVE STARS! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER. I AM WAITING ONE MONTH FOR MY DELIVERY AND MY THINGS ARE BEING HELP FOR RANSOM. THEY WILL SUB CONTRACT YOU OUT AND NOT EVEN CARE TO MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR TRUCK FULL OF BELONGINGS. THEY WILL IGNORE YOU AND WONT RETURN CALLS, I MEAN NOT AT ALL ! OH and that is after they quote you and then double the price after they load the truck! Its one thing to deceive people to get their business by low balling your estimate but it is quite another to ignore them and allow life long possessions to be held for ransom after 3 weeks of no delivery date in site and after a guarantee of a deadline to deliver i wasted money on a flight to meet it. No call or contact from this company when the truck NEVER SHOWED UP. I Am still trying to get my things and still trying to get a return call from this company and an answer as to what they are doing to rectify this situation. RUN RUN RUN NEVER USE THIS COMANY EVER!I AM WAITING 1 MONTH AND STILL THIS COMPANY WON"T RESPOND. I only give 1 star because you must give at least 1 but they aren't even a 1not even close to that!

The moving itself went well. The move was finished by noon. In the evening of the move my daughter realized that a box of valuable material had not been unloaded to the apartment. We verified that the box had been loaded from our house and that it was not at her new apartment. When we called All My Sons they lied to us about the movers' activities (one person saying they had another job that afternoon; another saying they had no other jobs). They claim to have checked the truck for the missing box and it was not there. When I confronted them on the afternoon job (because the movers themselves had casually mentioned to me that they had another job that afternoon) they said they would contact the afternoon client and check if the box had been accidentally unloaded there. They said they would call back and talk with me but never called back. They told my daughter the same thing and did not call her back. These guys are either totally incompetent or extrememly dishonest. Don't deal with them.

They showed 4 hours late up griped about our driveway and how heavy our furniture would be to move and talked on their phones for 30 minutes at a cost of 140$ an hour before we asked what the problem was.Completely unprofessional and the worst customer service i've ever incountered. Keep in mind that this is our moving day, a stressful day to begin with. All said and done what a waste of my time and money, you would be better off to hire your brother inlaw to help you on a sunday afternoon. Please dont waste your time or money with these morons and do it yourself!

These people are crooks they damaged my 65†flatscreen TV ($2400.00)which the company packed n handled themselves and now claims they're not liable for the damages because they used the original box TV came in also stating that THEIR MATERIALS were insured (meaning mine wasn't). My queen size box spring that I paid extra to ship was never delivered (probably stolen) and this company refuses to pay for it. After sending All the necessary info and pictures to the claims department. Call their office this man(chase) insults my intelligence, claiming I'm making up stories and refuses to answer my questions and concerns. BEWARE this company A1 Moving and Storage are THIEVES, CON-ARTISTE,LIERS,MANIPULATORS . DO NOT i repeat DO NOT do business with them.

I had moving last week and received my stuff yesterday. First of all, they try to hustle you and charge you in different ways. There were supposed to charge based on cf but started charging based on number of items. When I received my stuff, almost everything was broken or damaged. It is clear that they throw out stuff from truck , and did not move them. They did not inform you about delivery time and they intentionally give you short notice that they will be at your home in 30 minutes during work. Then, they will charge you for waiting time, or storage. Please do not use their service, someone should sue them and stop their service.

I foolishly decided to ignore all of the poor reviews of this company thinking that the other customers must have been at fault. If you are considering this company please read the full review. I assumed because my inventory was exact - measurements and all, i'd be fine. I expressed concerns about the estimated cubic square feet being low, my oversized chair being listed as just a chair on my bid, etc and I was assured by Eddie who claimed to be the owner (this was a lie and more on him later) that he wanted good reviews so even if the weight or cubic feet weren't exact, he wouldn't charge us extra. Eddie also said because he was the owner he was "giving me $10k in insurance." My binding estimate included additional Full Value Protection Liability of $15,288.00. All I had to do was initial next to my deductible level. The day of the move that was not included in the paper work and I was told by the movers I was only covered $0.60 per lb (the minimum requirement by law) up to $10k - based on my estimated weight this was only about $1,500 worth of coverage. When I called Eddie to question it, I was hung up on multiple times, yelled at, etc . The real owner of the company was equally unhelpful and wouldn't honor the bid. I purchased my own 3rd party insurance and we carried on. A little while later I was told I needed to pay $560 more because I was over my allotted rows - my entire inventory in the bid was not even on the truck yet. I spoke to a different manager who wouldn't work with me and said if I didn't want to pay for it, I can pay his workers $120 per hour for their time spent so far and that this was in the contract I was supposed to sign before the guys started. I hasn't signed it yet because of insurance issues (and the driver got in trouble for it). The price then went up to $1,680 for the extra feet but he said he would do it for $400. I refused and they unloaded my stuff. Additionally, Eddie lied to us about how long the delivery would take. We were promised 2-4 days and never told that our belongings would be held at a warehouse and picked up by another company. The day before the move we spoke to dispatch and they said 7-14 days, when we called Eddie again he said the most it would be was 5 days and they just had to tell us that by law. The only decent part of the day were the 3 men who showed up to load our belongings. They were very nice and you could tell they weren't surprised by any of the things going on except for Eddie claiming to be the owner. Whatever you do stay as far away from this company as possible. They are con artists. I wish 0 starts was an option.

They were so courteous and respectful to us and our things. Nothing was considered “too much†and we did ask them to move things upstairs a lot. I could not recommend them more highly. thanks so much for sending them to us. They truly were life savers.
