I blew a motor in my Lexus between New Jersey and Texas. Fortunately, I landed close enough for Tom Dawes to tow it to his shop and replace the motor.
Drove it home 2 weeks later and I'm happy with the new (used) motor.
When i got to Texas, I checked the oil and it was so clean I could hardly read the dipstick

I have written a review for Dawes automotive before, but wanted to write another one since he just did a huge job for me. I just had to have the engine in my 2018 Ford Edge replaced, I had to go thru Carmax warranty That I purchased with the car almost 4 years ago.Mr Dawes did an awesome job, you would never know anything had been done to my car other than it runs like a new one(of course a new motor). He went the extra mile for me with dealing with the warranty company. Tom Dawes is Extremely Honest and fair with his pricing and work.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Transmission was shot. Called 10+repair centers. Uses best parts and excellent service. Support retired military service my shopping here. Honest and dependable. No surprise charges. Excellent service.

I'm not from the area at all . I'm 10 hours from home and ran into some oil leaking issues with my 17 f250. I called all the other top rated places in the area first as you would not knowing the area or who to call... none or them seemed eager to help and everyone was pushing me back atleast 2 weeks on the phone not even knowing what my issue was . I called Dawes and immediately this man was helpful . Knowing he was already busy he asked me to come by so he could look at it better for me. Told me exactly what the issue was , and called my warranty people right then and made sure I was taken care of before I even left that day with appt scheduled... even saved mexa lil money on installing a part... not to mention the man's a MARINE !! Helicopter mechanic in Okinawa for 8 years. I knew right then I was in good hands ! Wether your local or traveling through , if your looking for a mechanic my man Dawes is the one for you! Semper Fi

I came here because my vehicle was leaking coolant and oil. They kept my car for 7 weeks and said it was fixed completely. I came in and there were added things I was not aware about such as they replaced my tired when I did not need them nor did I say it was okay. King story shot I had to pay $2100 came back a week later because my car was making a squealing sound that it never made before they checked it out and the owner apologized and said exactly “looks like we fixed the wrong things, you have a head gasket leak, we won’t charge you labor for it” I did not allow them to fix it.Services: Steering & suspension repair
