I will never personally use this veterinary office again. I’m only giving them three stars when I really should probably do one because the staff was excellent however, I had a dog spayed there last week that has had some complications post surgery and they do not offer any kind of Follow up Care. I just had to take her for a recheck and come out of pocket $90 for medication’s due to some sort of reaction from the surgery. I’ve never had any of my animals spayed or neutered and had to pay extra for follow up care post surgery!

Made the appointment for grooming, confirmed when they called, and dropped off my 2 dogs. They call me claiming I'm 2 hours late and my groomer left. BS. Will not be recommending them for grooming services

UPDATE!!!!! READ THESE REVIEWS PEOPLE!
My snake is also dead now after a shot of supposedly “pain meds” from Andes! So many animals have died after being treated here! One poor dog died from just being boarded. Animals are being left in their own filth!
First of all, this review is solely based on Andes, the exotic pets Vet. This man has no compassion for animals! My snake was bit by a rat and needed “surgery” to open the clot and clean out whatever was blocking blood flow to my snakes tail. When I picked my girl up later that day, the young man brought her to me in her carrier. I opened the carrier to find her laying in a pool of blood. Andes was gone by then but I talked to Nicole and she tried to convince me this was all normal. I was told to soak her incision site in betadine every evening. The week went well. She allowed me to keep her clean, no problem. I went back the following Friday for a check up and Andes all but yelled at me for not keeping her incision OPEN ( I was not told this ). Anyway, he pulls out a hemostat and starts tearing open her half closed incision! He didn’t even clean the hemostat. They wanted me to clean her every night, yet he sticks an uncleaned stat through her incision. I said WAIT! You need to give her something for pain and I swear to the good Lord above, that man said no, that he would give her antibiotics. He said no in a way like he was punishing me for not sticking a tool inside her unmedicated body every night! What was the 500.00 for that I gave you the previous week, Dr Andes????? I don’t like calling him a Dr because “do no harm” was not in his mindset! I demanded pain meds for her and he finally did but by then it was too late, he had already layed her open again! I will never take any of my pets here again and apparently after reading other reviews, my pet was not the only one mis treated by this man. Take this review and do with it what you like and you can find me on Facebook if you have anymore questions. He has no compassion for animals, he hates his job, he abused my snake, and I don’t know if he thinks all women are stupid, or if it was just me. I will continue to pray for the helpless animals left in the care of Andes!

We have used Andes-Straley for several years. Last year we took our Yorkie “Chanel” there for boarding. Since she has separation anxiety, she needs to be watched for not eating, throwing up and diarrhea. We knew she would experience some of these. However, when we picked her up she had diarrhea all over her. They never even called to ask if we wanted them to give her meds to calm her or if we wanted them to bath her. On the ride home I had to hold her on my lap. Of course the mess got all over my clothes. I had to throw them out. In my opinion they have really gone downhill.

My rat was in the process of dying at home and I knew it was time to let him go, humanely, so he wouldn’t have to suffer. The one thing I can say that was good about this place was that they were able to squeeze me in. However, if I knew the level of care we would’ve received I would have found any other different way to manage his care.
When I took him in, I told them he was dying and they started by placing him in oxygen. The vet ask me about what the end goal was, didn’t ask for an opinion on what to do. I figured they would at least give him pain meds. He was back there gasping for air and when they came out to talk with me they were slow and casual.
When I said I wanted to euthanize him I went back there with them and watched as they put him a plastic bin, poured a solution all over a cloth and spilled some on my rat. Then when my rat started rolling around, the vet picked up the bin and held it sideways and slid him down to the end of the bin! Told him to get away from that and kind of nervously chuckled.
I watched as the pet I had, that lived a long life, over three years, life was ended, wet, in a bin, and sliding around because the vet slid him. Like he was a toy. I had to leave the room because it felt so horrific and sad.
When I went out I had to stand in the waiting room sobbing with people all around me, waiting to be acknowledged at the desk for over 5 minutes.
If you have any small pet that you think deserves a good ending of life, I wouldn’t recommend taking them there. They didn’t act like his life or end of life really mattered. And surely didn’t act like this was a pet I had for years that I cared about when handling his death in the back.
A huge waste of money and certainly the wrong choice of what to do. I could’ve taken him anywhere and had him more humanely put down.

We travel almost an hour to go to this vet. They are amazing with our chinchilla. Every person there exceeds expectation!

They saved my dog on her 17th birthday last year. She needed surgery, and were very careful with her, and very caring. You can tell that they are there for the animals. Dr. Andes and the whole staff are amazing. Thank you for taking such amazing care of my lil old princess. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

I boarded my cat with them last year and it was a terrible experience. When I picked up my cat first the girl who went to get him had to come back and ask again information about him because she was about to bring me the wrong cat. When she finally brought him out to me, without the carrier I brought him in with, he was covered in urine! How does that even happen with a cat? When she finally came back with my carrier for him, she also had a random envelope that said microchip on it. I asked her what it was about because he was already microchipped several years ago, and she just shrugged and said "I don't know". Then I wasn't even able to pay that day for the services because it was a Sunday, which no one had told me previously even though I had spoken to them several times prior to boarding him. Never again will I use their services.
