“Prices are probably the best for a thrift store in Johnson City, and I think they have been expanding so you will find more items there than in the past, but I may be wrong on the second part.”

“I was just flipping through the consignment options and looking at the reviews that some of the other consignment stores have gotten...and I had to giggle because I have had exactly the same experience with the other places. I am not gonna mention names, but one place was kinda rude to everyone and didn't really seam to want to buy anything, no matter how nice it was! And the other place was just buying a thing or two, just to say they bought something, but they would keep you waiting an hour for your 5 dollar payment, that you're definitely gonna have to wait in line to get!
THAT HAS NEVER BEEN MY EXPERIENCE AT OWL'S NEST! I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN WELCOMED AND HAPPY WITH MY EXPERIENCE THERE! THANKS !”

“What a truly lovely store! Nicely kept with unique, quality home furnishings and decor, jewelry and purses, and so many one-of-a-kind items all at great prices! Several people had recommended Manna House, and I’m so glad I stopped by. The gentleman working at the store was very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be returning!”

“Very interesting place.

So… I was told this is a “want” type of thrift store.
So basically random thrifted items that are vintage like would be here. At that they are not priced lightly, they are valued at a type of retail priced. I guess my best but worst example would be if you can buy a movie on app that’s like $10, a VHS tape COULD be similar in price..? I’m not saying it is lol, I’m just saying a VHS tape might not be your cliche 10¢ find at a garage sale. But you’ll likely find a lot of VHS tapes if you’re interested. This was a horrible explanation, just go yourself and look because I didn’t have the time or patience to.

I mainly saw a lot of book and VHS tapes. But I didn’t look through the entire store.

The parking is horrible, there is about 4 spots? But more like one less since the dumpster is in the way.

The entrance is on the right while donation is on the left. Yes the left. I know it’s gnna look weird since there’s a store there, but it’s on the left! I swear lol.

I wasn’t sure whether or not to post the pictures but I am just going to. Because… I think it sucks to not vaguely see what this location has to offer. No one wants to make a drive that isn’t worth their time. While it’s a thrift store obviously things will change… I still think it’s a helpful start.

Oh so as far as this location being a “want” store.. there is a sister location somewhere … forgot what I was told … but apparently they are the “need” store. So if you NEED plates, forks ….basic home things that’s the place to go… essentials I suppose.”

“Two thumbs up. They keep their prices so reasonable and affordable that you should definitely walk away finding a steal of some sort. My absolute favorite goodwill location I've been to yet. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. I recently got 5 pairs of khakis and a wonderful vintage lamp for less than 28 dollars. What a gem to the community.”

“I'm a fan of Thrift stores, and Good Sam checks all the boxes for a good quality thrift store. They've got a constantly changing clothing set; in women's, men's, and children's. Shoes, linens, baby goods, books, kitchenware, DVD's, jewelry... it's worth a look. I got the impression that the store staff monitors what's donated and puts the good quality items out for display. There's very little of what you could call "junk" out on the shelves. I noticed several racks of brand-name clothing in almost new shape, so it's got you reaching for your purse instead of your hand sanitizer. There's a huge pricing board behind the registers, so your cost isn't really a big surprise. All other items are clearly priced. I like that this is a non-profit facility, and that good comes from what the store takes in. You get that from the various signs/murals scattered throughout. The staff seemed pleasant enough, and while I didn't require any help- I assume they would be helpful. Currently, due to the 'rona, there are no dressing rooms or public bathrooms available. Take that into consideration. Overall- this place is one of my favorites to shop at.”

“Nice! Friendly staff. From what I’ve heard, the layout and pricing has been re-done. But I think I’ve only seen it since the new setup. I always find things here for the whole family. Fair pricing in my opinion. Every Thursday they have a new tag color that is half off. Check them out if it’s been a while! They have fitting rooms too. No restrooms so make sure you and your kids go beforehand.”

“I’ve had some rough experiences at Plato’s over the years BUT I went to the KPT and JC one yesterday 1/25 and today 1/26 and the experience was 10/10!! I just have to mention this because it brought tears to my eyes! There was a young girl in front of me who couldn’t afford everything she had and her mom made it clear she didn’t have the money to help buy it and the girl at the register (young blonde) pulled out HER OWN wallet and paid for her stuff!! We both cried! I pray good things come to her!!”
