They do a good job at Mountain Empire Small Animal Hospital. We have been bringing our dogs for years here. However, I do not EVER want to have Dr. Baird as my veterinarian ever again for me or my mother (if he is still employed here). The last time we had him his attitude towards my mother over a simple question (which was over a brand of dog food) was unprofessional and uncalled for. We are paying you, the least you could do is be courteous and polite and have a little respect for your clients.

We kenneled our dog there for vacation and then for a day during Thanksgiving. They are so great with their doggy clients. Ball of them are fantastic.

Called on 11/19/23 at 5:08 pm after hours to receive veterinary service. My two year old horse was very sick and was advised they would contact me back. They never reached out to me and my horse died later that evening. Contacted them this morning they said that they didn't service my area, even so I feel that should have been advised to me and I should have received a call back which I could have possibly called a different clinic and my horse could still be alive. They should be held accountable for their actions and this will be filed with the health services division of TN for veterinary services.

I love this place!!! The large animal hospital is located behind the small animal hospital. The doctor I take my baby (a birchen orpinton Rooster) for everything, and this place is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! They are so kind and careful with their patients, and the front desk ladies are very friendly and helpful with questions and emergency appointments. This place is just awesome!!!!

My goats had an extremely high fever (107.5). Despite drenching them with a hose for one hour, I couldnt get it much lower. I was not a client there, but despite that, they got me in right away! They immediantly started getting their temperatures down with medicine, a fan, and drenching them. They constantly monitored them, kept me updated, and took fantastic care of them. After ruling everything out, they asked if I would like to do blood work to for sure know what was going on. I said yes because I have other goats, and the blood work came back as a definite virus (probably from the local deer). They kept them 4 days (with my permission), and were so attentive. The wonderful Dr. called me at least once a day and was so thorough! By the time they came home they were stable and had no fever. The dr even brought them out to my car! They gave me some medicine for just in case as well! I was expecting a huge bill but it wasn't even half of what I expected. They took care of my babies so well and didn't charge an arm or leg! Everyone there knew what they were doing and were so kind. I will for sure be a repeat client. Thank you thank you thank you

Dr. Hart is fantastic! She cares about your animal and their health. She will give you insight and options but she isn't pushy about them. She is so helpful and smart! I trust her completely with any of my babies!! This visit was just a yearly check up but she was still very kind and check my baby out completely to ensure she was healthy!

This place is wonderful. I have some nightmare stories of others that are in the area. Everyone is always friendly. The front staff, the vet techs that bring you to the room and the doctors. They always seem to care. Today is the reason for this review. I brought my dog in for a specific issue. They treated the issue and didn't try to push other medications down my throat or pushed to get vaccinations. Yes, it's been a while since I've done my last vaccinations but they said to me "let's treat this problem first and then we can talk about vaccinations later." That held a lot of weight for me. Other vets in the area wouldn't treat US unless we did our vaccinations first. Always seem like they were trying to add to the bill. This place is not like that. They care about your pet more than trying to get money from you.

Dr. Lilly and previously Dr Hart, have been amazing with our cat and dog Shadow. They always give plenty of direction and through exams. So caring and sensitive when very hard decisions are having to be made for you babies.

I want to thank them for taking so good of care of our baby. Yes she is our baby girl and they fixed her good as new .the bill was never a issue and considering the surgery and how well she was cared for it was worth every penny. Again thank you for helping usVada the crazy Belgian Malinios
