95% of their employees are wonderful, helpful and nice. Food is a little higher than Walmart, but the meats are the best in Jonesborough!

This rating is for the deli/food bar.
Short orders for, like cheeseburgers and onion rings are really good.
But the ready hot food section is terrible. Even at the evening rush is horrible looking. The veggies look old, nothing is ever stirred, they look like they have been there for hours.
Such a shame too, the restaurant area of their flagship store in Abingdon VA is 5 star, and they have a ton of customers.

Just like any other grocery store or food chain food City takes the top at greedy. A deplorable human being owns this place and would rather pay someone extra money to raise his prices and to actually pay the vendors themselves. Oh and try to call corporate The lady that answers the phone if you have one word that even hints around that food City sucks she hangs up on you

I come here all the time because i live right up the road and never once had an issue with self checkout until today. i always get the same amount of stuff everytime i come. For whatever reason the lady that was running the self checkout section, Jackie, stopped me and told me it looked like i had more than 15 items in my cart (which i didn’t) so i needed to go the a regular checkout lane. I’ve seen plenty of people with carts full in the self checkout, but for whatever reason what i had was an issue.

Love the boones creek food city! The workers are always friendly and ready to help anytime! The store on state of Franklin is like a totally different experience cuz the workers seem like they hate life most of the time I’m in there so i try to avoid it really!
