Well, it started out well. My truck had a 5 year old battery (the original) in it and during the recent cold spell I could sense it wasn’t starting as well.So I went into Advanced Auto. Because of the placement of the battery, it was more than they could handle. So I stopped into Firestone.I told them I just wanted to replace the battery at this point and that a test wasn’t necessary.They quoted me a very reasonable price and said they could do it in about an hour.Before long though, I was told that my passenger side headlight was burned out. My truck is a GMC with upgraded headlights. The bulbs themselves run $200+. I was quoted a cool $497 to replace it.Before I got the price I said that maybe it was worth doing. Then they gave me the price! Uh no thanks. I’ll risk a traffic ticket.Pretty soon my truck was done, and driven up to the front door. Huh, the headlights were on and both were working fine.So not only did they try to sell me something unneeded, but they did end up testing my battery, which tested out just fine. I get that I ask them to replace it, as doesn’t good customer service dictate that you should at least notify the customer that they are about to replace a part that’s fine, or that they did test it?I’m very disappointed.

It seems that because of an inept job on my car which caused a vehicle to lose its wheel mine thank God there were no accidents involved which I reported to them at which point they said it would be taken care of Don't worry and I waited almost 8 months before I got my vehicle back not in the condition I took it in and when I delay this information to them I was continued to be put off... So at 8 months I had a car that was damaged almost as much as it was by the accident My door panels are not properly attached other issues when I got in touch with corporate finally because I don't want to undermine anyone but I just couldn't abide by the standards I was being laid out they stated that it would be fixed I then waited and waited and called and texted and emailed called corporate again they said that the representative in the area corporate rep had stated I never got back in touch with him which point I lost it a little they should another rep would be in contact the next day the original rep called me and stated that it was my personal problem to get everything that needed to be fixed so they could put it on in other words pay for everything and then let them possibly install it they put a tire on because in the accident one of mine was slashed and they told me they would as I pulled out it deflated because they didn't put any air in it.. further farther I should say down this line I finally got it fixed they cut me a check now anytime I go to a Firestone they won't do anything to my car except exactly what I bring it in for no checking anything no nothing no touching anything in fact the last time I took it in for an alignment it came out worse than when I took it in they said I needed to get rim somethings because they can't hold a tire up and put lugs in which is a little bit well sad because if you can't do that yet and just really man really so when did that when I got a printout they literally did nothing to the alignment absolutely nothing The print out was the same from when I took it in and until I got the other place which said it looked like they had done something I'm not sure but it pulled to the right so hard that was worried I would wreck if I took my hands off the vehicle for a second on the interstate sigh Firestone was my number one choice and I would have recommended to anyone at this point I am very disappointed very went for over a year without a car without any compensation without even an apology and didn't even get it fixed properly when I addressed them about this they said that I should take it to the company that fixed the car well that'd be all good and stuff but I didn't choose who fixed my car they did without consulting me and apparently neither of them contacted each other because when I ask one they said oh I called and called about that and when I would ask the other they said they would hadn't and that they had called them left messages but never got calls back so Firestone I don't know what to say really this is how you treat your valued customers I have contracts with you I have sent people to you and now every store in my area apparently knows who I am and won't even do a simple alignment on my car wow I'm more than shocked I'm appalled and yeah you cut me a check for only what would fix the car to the standards that it was in fact I even chose the cheaper options on everything I got a quote from another company to do the same work it was over seven grand You cut a check for what was it 1500 so $7,000 compared to 1,500 a year without my car I would call they would say it's in process but nothing else I would say where they're trying to find out a place to fix it no one can take it in and when I call corporate they had not been notified because apparently everything was trying to be kept on the quiet side I've stayed quiet until now and I can't anymore a year worth of car rental cheapest I could find for the cheapest vehicle not even near what I have is approximately $87,000 I know a n

When they charge you to look for a problem, say, with the AC, they're really just pretending to look for it while they sit around and do nothing so the store can pull in more money. Then when they finally find it after "searching" they say "that'll be 300 dollars". Another issue they flat out told me they couldn't fix and I'd need to go to a body shop.I took my car to an independent mechanic a little ways down I-26, and the guy found the problems in 5 minutes, didn't charge me to look for it, and had it fixed in 30 minutes. Cost me 60 bucks.The service was polite enough, but hidden under that are mountains of excess fees and charges.

Made an appointment for 11 am. Arrived at 10:30 and was told it would be at least four hours. Told to return at 3:00pm. Returned at 3:00 was told it would take an hour to return at 4:00. Finally checked out at 6:30 pm. Wasted an entire day off work fooling with this place. Was given no receipt or even had charges explained at checkout. Got five miles away and my TPMS was offline. Reviewed the email receipt when I got home and was overcharged $300. Thankfully, Mark the store manager refunded the overcharge and corrected the issue with the monitoring system, but all in all it was a two day hassle that should have taken an hour or two at most. Save your time and drive to the Kingsport Tn location.

I absolutely needed a tire and even though it was 10 minutes until closing they put one on for me and we're still super friendly! 10/10 recommend! I don't know what I would have done without them tonight!

This is a new location in Johnson City. Had my appointment for a new set of tires and they got me in a bit early. Also had an alignment scheduled. Upon checking the alignment on the car they determined that work was not needed so sisnt charge me for the alignment. Staff was exceptional. They have a new customer for sure.

DO NOT GO HERE! I usually go to southern classics for an oil change but this new Firestone was conveniently close to my work…The day after my oil change my oil light started flashing and my car started shaking when I turned it on. I dropped it back off to Firestone for them to see what the problem was and then left for work. They called an hour later and told me my radiator was cracked and I’d have to pay $700 to get it fixed. I said no because it wasn’t cracked before I took it in for an oil change. When I got off work the “mechanic” showed me where I was missing screws on my radiator cover, but never showed me the crack when I asked to see it.My screws weren’t missing before I took it in for an oil change nothing was wrong with my car before they did the oil change. I called precision auto tune for a second opinion (which is where I normally take my car) and they said “bless your heart we are fixing a lot of cars that Firestone has messed up.”I had my car towed from Firestone home because I had my 9 year old daughter with me and I didn’t know what to believe or do at that point and guess what?? The guy towing my car said the same thing precision said! They’re towing cars from Firestone and back there after they’ve messed up peoples cars and other customers have filed claims with them as well. The guy towing my car said if someone asks him to tow to Firestone he tells them to take it somewhere else.That confirmed it for me. I feel they were trying to hustle me. I’ll be going to precision tune auto on Thursday to get a real diagnosis. DON’T waste your time/money here.Service: Auto maintenance

Very helpful with finding the tires I wanted. Did great work also. Cleanest shop and bathrooms ever! Complimented the owner and he said his wife does the cleaning and he'd let her know. I loved it!
