Since 2021, I have been trying to change my account name to my new married last name. I keep getting told there is nothing I can do to get the money from my 401k. They told me that they sent me a check and it was never cashed. Even though it was never cashed, the balance says $0 on my account. They tried to pocket MY money since they sent the check to the wrong address. 3 years later, and I was FINALLY told that they can cancel the check and that I can change my name on my account. I explained that I did this already to change the name of my account and I see my correct name when I login. I was told that there are 2 different websites, one for IRA and one for 401k. Even though I can see all of my accounts on the Fidelity website, I was told that I needed to change my name in the Net Benefits account. This is the first time I have heard of this website. Why isn't this mentioned on the Fidelity site near my 401k information? I feel like this company is a scam, sending checks to the wrong address and not telling clients that their accounts are in two differnt websites. They told me that I was already taxed and paid a pentalty for not adding the money to another 401k. So you send the check to the wrong address, a check that I didn't request, then you report me as cashing in the check even though I never did. The guy I spoke with today even said he sees that I never cashed the check. I am closing all of my accounts and taking my money elsewhere. This company is horrible! Run far away!

The staff at Fidelity Investment Services, Johnson City, TN were very professional. The information the advisor provided was presented in an exceptional and extremely knowledgeable presentation. Their services were above and beyond my expectations.

I did a QDRO through Fidelity and have had nothing but problems. Wanting to cash out and have the money directly deposited, THEY changed the routing number causing delay after delay and then telling me I would have to settle for a sizable check coming through the mail??? NO WAY!! I've made 4 calls now and the situation is still not resolved!!! There has to be some sort of solution when customer service makes a mistake and the CUSTOMER doesn't suffer for it!!!

I'm not a customer yet, but I visited this office today for informational purposes. Even though I don't have a lot of money to invest, I was treated like I had been a long-time valued client. They answered my questions, and then connected me to a corporate advisor to verify the answer to a question about their trading platform. Based on this first impression, and level of customer service, I will be using Fidelity instead of another brokerage I had been considering.
